Looking at that replay, Etling did a pretty phenomenal job of getting the ball to Guice where he could still possibly make a play.
A busted play like that usually ends up in the QB and RB running into each other, then the QB keeping the ball so as not to fumble, then the QB getting skunked in the backfield.

Yeah I mean he was still 7 yards in the backfield so plenty of room for it to develop. It just looks like he second guessed it and tried to be a hero. Couldn't be mad at him for that I guess, players make plays

Ugh, so many of these.
I definitely put the OSU/ISU FG at the top of the list. That changed everything imo.
Second I’d put the Auburn last second hijack in 2016. Once again, changed everything with long lasting repercussions on the program beyond just one game or even just one season.
As for one season, you have to go with the 06 Auburn interference robbery. Complete bullshite and cost us another shot at Florida and very possibly another BCSNC.
That Florida 06 game had too many to choose from. Mostly self imposed unlike the Auburn BS. Early fumbling the second half kickoff and causing a safety always stuck out to me the most. People still clown about Xavier Carter’s kneel at UGA in 04, but no one mentions Early’s absolute bowel spilling at The Swamp that day.
But someone’s call on the Tebow jump pass is a great call as well. Cost us way more than a touchdown. It set the Tebow legend in motion and really took the game out of our hands. There was magic against us that day.
As mentioned, the Alabama plays in 12, 13, and 14 obviously. Just too much heartache there.
A couple I haven’t seen mentioned yet:
The Lee pick in OT against Alabama in 08 (his FOURTH of the day ) Just devastating to see Saban get that W in his first game against LSU in Tiger Stadium. Felt unfair and was an ominous sign of things to come as we struggled in our post NC season while Alabama went 12-0. Who knows what a W there does to crack the mystique before it even really started.
The other major one I’m surprised no one has said is Ole Miss 09. The clock it play. Went a long way to completely destroying Miles’ future for many in Baton Rouge. For that to happen while Saban was in the midst of a second straight 12-0 run (finishing the NC this time) was just too much to overcome.
He’d never live that play down and the hatred they felt consumed them for seven years until they finally got their wish in 2016.
But it wouldn’t have even come to that had several plays, both bad and GREAT, not been made.
Had Lafell not pulled off the miraculous onside catch and run to set us up in scoring position, had Toliver not caught that Hail Mary short of the end zone, had we not been passing in FG range allowing JJ to take a huge sack and then lose another 10 yards on a screen pass
Just so much chaos on those last four plays after a couple of plays by Lafell that would go down as legendary if we had simply kicked the FG.
Even if we just don’t recover the onside and OM runs the clock out the L would have had untold benefits on Miles’ career and the LSU program.

This!
What a horrible call. Absolutely BS! Called by a Bama grad. Had them beat, no questions asked if that penalty is not called.

the 2004 bullshite “leverage” penalty against Auburn?
I remember

The 15 yard bullshite penalty when we were on Bamas 1yard line.

The entire BCS 2012 championship game. It was like watching Zombies in the uniforms of the guys who beat Bama in the regular season. Total coaching discipline failure. The Tigers heads were never in that game.

I'm going to go a little off the script and talk about two plays. They are back-to-back plays in the Mulligan Bowl. They are the first two offensive plays of the second half.
In the first, we throw a hitch and go to Beckham, who had beaten his man. The safety came over but took a bad angle, ending up behind Beckham when the ball get there. If Beckham had taken just a slightly more angled route, he catches the ball and runs for a touchdown.
The very next freaking play, we run the same routes, this time with D'Anglelo Peterson running a seam route up the middle. Bama doesn't cover him at all. AT ALL. [QB REDACTED] throws to Beckham, though, and while it was a catch and the biggest gain of the night, it was a real missed opportunity.
If Beckham catches the first OR JJ throws to Peterson in the second, the game is 12-7, LSU scores the first TD of either team against the other, and perhaps the momentum shift causes the "spurtability" the 2011 team relied on all year. Give us that TD, and we have a whole different ball game.

Yeldon.
Flew in from Denver and my rental car had Alabama plates.
Seats 4 rows off the field and saw Yeldon run it in right in front of me. All I wanted was to be back home. I'll never forget how fast the campus cleared out and how quiet it was.
6 pm flight from Lafayette to Dallas the next day was delayed because a freaking plane ran off the runway. Missed my connecting flight in Dallas. Got home at 3 AM, got an hour of sleep, and went to work Monday morning. Not my favorite game weekend.

Guice going the wrong way after a freaking timeout against Florida had me throwing things at my TV.
I was already pissed when on 3rd and 1, they ran the fullback dive left when they hadnt had any success left all game. Plus they had Guice in the backfield needing a yard.
Also settling for a FG attempt against ND when it was 4th and inches in the bowl game was flat out gutless.

All of Trey Quinn's drops vs Bama in 2014. If he even catches one, LSU wins.
You are inventing things. Quinn dropped one pass. It was a doozy, but it was only one. The other one that he commonly gets blamed for was a poor pass that would have been a great catch.

Lousy kickoff in Tiger Stadium that allowed the Tide to come back.
I can’t remember the date at the moment, but that game still pisses me off
Or was it a punt?

I believe LSU wins that game if that TO does not happen and so do my Bama friends. Was a game changer and great defensive play.
Play that haunts me in recent history. Best game I've seen in TS...but...the 2012 screen-pass-to-Yeldon-that-Jalen-didn't-see-the-don't-blitz-audible
