It's pathetic that you can't even discuss this movie on this board without fanboys bitching.

I saw that stupid movie once and don't recall that scene. Will I watch it again?

Would we be all happy if Rey gets completely murdered in the new movie? I know it won't happen but honestly....would that make people happy? That could be awesome.
No.

That would be stupid.

How about make her an actual character.

Make her grow as a character.

I don’t remember her ever training. She was a junker, then she became an ace pilot with no experience or training, then she was a super mechanic with no experience or training, then she was an awesome Jedi with no experience or training. Then she followed a mopey old guy around for a week and had weird dreams, then she became a super Jedi.

No backstory.
No character arc.
No adversity.
Nothing!

To be fair, Abrams tried to set all of that up for her in TFA, but Rian decided to be a lil' bitch and fricked that all up.

Poe and Chewie would actually go great together. Poe isn’t much different from Han.

I really don't care about Episode 9. TLJ was a huge POS that derailed everything. They're supposed to try and fix it plus wrap up the trilogy in one movie???

I am not defending TLJ. But...

Kinda like another boy from nowhere that might be her grandfather?

Once again I’m not defending TLJ. Rian Johnson had the ultimate softball of all softballs to pick up JJs no risk story and run with it and he whiffed worse than Hato on the floater pitch in Rookie of the Year. But the only way Rey’s proficiency with the force, Anakins lightsaber calling out to her and showing the vision on Cloud City, defeating Kylo etc makes any sense is if she’s a Skywalker. And Luke is her father. The ages don’t work out for her to be Leias because Han was still around at least until Kylo turned at the Jedi academy and at least appeared that he didn’t know who she was. Honestly I’d like to see an Obi Wan and Anakin force ghost appearance in the next movie for some closure.

JJ has his work cut out for him that’s for sure. He’s got to find a balance between relating the damage while still telling a good story.

The ages don't really work out for her to be Luke's daughter either. Kylo turned 6 years before the TFA. Rey had already been on Jaku for at least 10 years at that point.
