re: Traore Now in the Mix to Start at Right Tackle

quote:Well, Traore's size can make up for other areas IF he excells in areas such as technique.
Well magee play well when hecwas in there last year, especially the Auburn game, so if traore is in the mix he at least stepped up to magees level.
So to get Traore to starter level, maybe not All-SEC but acceptable starter, is a matter of fixing the things you can such as technique. It's a much shorter path than trying to improve his agility, balance, and footspeed over the course of a camp. You have to accept he's not so good in those areas so get the technique down and fix the balance and go about your business (at least for this year).
He had a lot to learn. For him to be in the mix he has to already be strong/tough enough and coachable (to master technique). So with that in mind, he might legitimately be in the mix. If not, based on performance so far, this is propaganda.
If Cregg pulls that off... he's a good coach, take a bow. That's just short of a miracle based on spring game and scrimmage.

Well, it's a good thing, because I have seen magee perform well. Glad to hear traore is improving. Of course, the feedback we mostly get it rantards that don't know shite.

That's based off last year (yes, Magee performed quite well) and this year. Traore and Deculus... at this moment in time... are wishful thinking in the face of that.
Thankfully OL is one of those positions when you're 2nd team it is beneficial to be moved around. LT, OG, RT... it helps build them. Because any good OT can be a good OG, a good OG can't necessarily be a good OT. So your OT has to have "broad experience"; subbing at OG is helpful.

Has nothing to do with Cushenberry. Traore is healthy and the light is starting to come on. Magee has it locked up. They want Traore getting reps with the 1’s because he is likely first in behind Charles and possibly Magee. They figuring out Delucus is an ox but needs to be at guard.

Yep he and Traore will be needed a ton

Probably a little of both, I've never been sold on cush. If true, I can see the move of deculus inside. Traore seemed a little slow to react/move his feet in the spring game, hopefully he has adjusted to the speed.

What about next season ? Brumfield is a senior , and Ingram maybe gone permanently

Hey another dumbass post. Cushenberry is the fricking center dumbdick. The 37 dumbdicks that upvoted you can suck a dick too.

The rant is never certain about a damn thing. This coaching staff knows exactly where these guys are going and who will back them up. It's most of you guys who don't have a damn clue and don't mind putting the rants confusion on the coaches as if they're the ones confused. No it's just you all.

Magee imo did pretty good at T last season when he played. And he went up against some good AU Dline and held his own. Florida Dline held his own. Traore and Delucus are getting quality reps right now because they need them the most. Traore could play his way to #1 but more than likely will play LT and RT when Charles and Magee need rest. Delucus is cross training so he can play guard when needed. He is good enough to be n 2 deep at guard etc now. Hines may push him soon though. Just needs more reps.

Then we return all our starters and have d as a backup

And that's saying something bc this class was loaded and many consider it to be the most underrated class in sec history

He was being facetious....

Probably the one you are responding to since he's so adamant about getting Cush out of there. Based on What? Not the coach.

Folks been sleeping on the big man Traore! He was one of the first big mooses to commit, and I've been very high on him since.

had a rough spring game and the rant over reacted. Just that it was a tight 3 way battle between Magee, who has already proven he is a quality SEC Tackle, and Deculous and Troare shows that RT isn't the big problem the rant wants to make it out to be. Also that Cush has held the starting center position all spring and fall should show that he is a much more solid player than the rant meme that he is a weekness. He could get beat out by Brumfield, who knows, but so far he is holding him off.

so Charles Deculus Brumsfield Lewis Magee?
So that means
LT- Charles- 6-5" 321
LG- Deculus- 6-6" 324
C- Brumfield- 6-4" 305
RG- Lewis- 6-5" 335
RT- Magee- 6-3" 326
Avg: 6-5" 322

I like the move just due to his size. 305lbs on the light side for a starting guard these days. Seems to have the body type more for a center. We have a lot of depth at guard with Hines (345), Campbell (345), and Deculous (325)and can afford to let Brumfield/Cush battle it out for the starting center position.
I'd like to see LT Charles (325)
LG Hines (345)
C Cushenberry (315)
RG Lewis (325)
RT Magee (335)
with Brumfield spelling the 3 interior line positions and Traore backing RT and LT positions.
then with Savage backing up Traore at the T positions and Campbell backing up Brumfeild at the interior OL.
Also Deculous can backup RT, LT and both G postions
