What % of the Senate vote is needed to officially remove a president from office?

Is it a simple majority, 60 votes, or a two thirds vote to convict and officially remove a president? I know the Congress only requires a majority vote to impeach but honestly can't find what's needed to convict and formerly remove a sitting president. Would be incredibly scary to think a President could actually be removed for simply being hated by the opposition party in power at any given time

Simple majority in House
2/3rds vote in Senate

Thanks for acknowledging that you have neither read nor understand the very document that forms our government.
Next you'll be asking if voting is a right.

You think democrats in the Senate, from Red States, up for re-election in 2020, are going to support an impeachment trial. It's better to know what you have, than what you dont.
Especially, when President Pence fires Sessions, and places nasty Republican attorneys in the Justice dept, and at least 2 newly appointed Special Council to investigate the JD, and Clinton activity regarding the Russian Uranium Conspiracy.

"Congress" doesn't impeach ... the House impeaches ...
the Senate removes ...
not surprised you didn't know the correct fraction ... but you said you couldn't find it anywhere, which means you're not very good at the internet ... or you're a troll ...

No trolling. It was a serious question. I was very wary of candidate Trump. Didn't vote for him because of it and certainly didn't vote for Hillary. However, after over a year and a half of kept promises, a booming economy, and his better than expected performance with regards to foreign policy (constant criticism from the sky screaming MSM notwithstanding), I'm on the Trump train and am full speed ahead MAGA.
I thought it was either 60 or a 2/3rd vote to convict but wasn't competely sure and couldn't find the info from a cursory search of the internet. No way on earth he is convicted if he even is impeached given either of those vote totals needed in the Senate.

I'd be okay with Impeachment if I thought this was a lock. Pence is a quick study.

It is all about a long and drawn out negative PR campaign that the MSM can continue against Trump.
Conviction and facts mean little to them.
It is the constant bludgeoning of him that is most important. This just gives them an excuse to do so.
