We are a 7 win team without a great RB or QB. If we find a couple of these , we are a 9 win team. We will not know the answer to this until the 4th game. No one else knows the answer either, that's why they can't come up with more than 6 or 7 wins. They have us losing to Miami, and or State, Auburn, A&M.
Plus the usual suspects. We may only lose 1 of those if JB executes like Mett or Stidham

the booming economy and low employment numbers are simply facts based on numbers. Very, very hard to deny that.

I look at it as I want LSU to lose now in order to get O out faster and get back on track. If you keep him, your ceiling is 8 wins a year. Stop the bleeding and hire an elite coach. Hell, I'll settle for a competent one at this point.

how many times during Miles' tenure did you hear the BR and NO types talk all offseason about how daunting the schedule is, despite the fact that 7 of the 12 teams were on last years schedule

Georgia and Miami were not on the schedule last year. Also A & M didn't have Jimbo.

What exactly again has O shown that leads you to believe this is too much for him?

You may be on to something. This Yaw Yaw experiment can’t end soon enough. Should’ve pulled a Tennessee uprising when Alleva made the announcement.

If you want your brain to stop functioning like Garic, read his articles. The media in Louisiana is absolute trash.

Great defense with a playmakers all around. Incompetent offense with an unproven QB and a HC that relies on his assistant coaches to win. Seems pretty normal to me.

Don't try to reason with the morons of the Rant who love engaging in hyperbole, conjecture, catastrophe syndrome and their never ending narrative reciting the same old crap over and over.
LSU needed a reset from the Miles era. It was a comedy of errors in 2015 with Alexander stepping in and giving Les a reprieve. Was Orgeron a reasonable choice? It's too early to tell. It has to play out. Instead of giving it chance, the Rant furthers the idea that LSU is in disarray which helps fuel the negativity of the media.
LSU fans are a bunch of whiney little bitches.

It's not too early to tell. At the time Miles was fired, it was unreasonable by any measure to hire Ed Orgeron.

Sky screaming ckicken littles in full force.
"Hey kids, today instead of reliving the firing of Miles/hiring of O, for the 24693 time, let' s wallow
in self-loathing so we can prove we 're the real fans who truly care."

O is the coach, get over it.
Alleva is the AD, get over it. I cannot stand him but reliving his decisions everyday is useless.
If the players had not chosen to break the law, team would be in better standing.obviously.
Coaching hires? Again past history. No need to suck your thumb & pout cuz O didnt hire someone's fave coach.
It's all done. Nobody can change who did what or didn't do. Or who they hired/fired.
I prefer the "it'll work itself out mentality. Meantime, I'm cheering for the Tigers. Life goes on. So sue me.
And to those still crying, whining, & arguing about 1/9/12 ... get over it & get a life. Stop wasting time over a game played six years ago.

People like you are too willing to accept horrible administrative decisions and coaching. (accept = refuse to call it what it is to those who defend it).
Those who choose to call attention to this travesty are the REAL LSU fans because we want quality coaches/administration. Calling attention to these things does not make us crybabies/ anti-LSU, etc.

Part of a coaches job is to vet players and recruit, not only good players, but good character men as well. When you fill your roster wth questionable character players, I'd say it's squarely on the coaches shoulders when they go bad.

This is asinine. Recruits come from all over the place often in an environment where they are heavily protected by coaches and even police and public officials. Sure, people talk, but the coaches ability to always know what went on “back home” is pretty limited. And when things do come to light, it’s a very tight line to walk between disciplining or even removing the player and not assuming guilt based on allegations which we’ve all seen can turn out to be bullshite. I don’t see any instance where O has failed to reasonably walk that line.

As far as “fill your roster” we’re talking about what, 1.7% of players based on present roster?? Exaggerate much?

You call yourself a LSU fan but seem more a fan of ridiculous hyperbole and ignorance.

Are you kidding? Of course the coaches are responsible for the integrity of the players they recruit. LSU (and other schools) have paid staff whose ONLY job is to help keep thugs out of jail.....because they are good athletes. LSU KNOWS about these thugs hence the paid staff mentioned above.
