Why the hell was her first reaction to make this about sex/gender/whatever we’re calling it these days?

Because it's 2018. She could have taken a dump on the court, picked it up and shoved it in the umps face, and then cry sexism and the SJW cultists would find a way to defend her.

I watched it and she looks like the most spoiled person in the world. She blames it on being a woman and that men do much worse out there.

It sounds to me that the chair made judgment calls. He warned her, then eventually penalized her. She then attacks his character and blames it on being a woman. I guess she got treated like a other women? Or did she just think that men never get this treatment? I’m not sure women typically get her treatment either because most people don’t act that way.

That Sportscenter segment had her coach saying the same bullshite after admitting he was coaching her. "Oh, Rafa was out here earlier and was getting coached every point but he wasn't penalized." And now she'll run with the same crap

I only saw highlights (if you can call them that), but she was completely unhinged.

The crying, the racket smash, the whining to the chair. Then she upstages Osaka's trophy ceremony, and claims to be fighting for women's rights. It was fricking mental.

I can't believe people actually reinforced her nonsense by applauding at her press conference.

Serena unhinged really took away Osaka's thunder winning her first major. Nice job Serena.

Serena is fighting for women's rights.

The fact of the matter is, yes, hand signals and coaching happen every single match. It’s just a thing. It usually isn’t called, but she got caught blatantly doing it. In the finals of the US Open. She’s not even denying it happened just that “everyone does it.” So, yes I was cheating but everyone does but because I’m a woman I’m not allowed to cheat like the men.

She’s also completely ignoring the fact that she had three chances to not be a complete moron, but pushed the limit and got what she deserved. She’s a complete nutcase, has always made everything about her, has a history of acting like this, has a history of never giving her opponents any credit in press conferences after defeat, and is overall a joke to the game.

This “women’s rights” shite even goes to the fact that when dumb arses who know nothing about tennis think she could compete on any level on the men’s tour, or that she’s the greatest player ever. No, she’s not. She would never admit it even though she knows. Chris Evert in the 70s was asked the same question and at least had the balls to say she couldn’t even get a point off of her husband John Lloyd, who was ranked in the top 50.

Ok rant over. God it’s 3 am and reading this thread got me so triggered.

The crowd booing during Osaka's big moment on stage is pretty low. Just typical Americans for ya

Serena and her team broke the rules. Players get warnings all the time. Deal with it and move on. Instead, she’s getting whipped, and in typical Serena fashion, has to blame someone else for her poor play and her teams improper actions actions. She refuses to take personal responsibility and the ESPN talking heads continue to allow her to do so by blaming the chair umpire. Shriver, Fernandez, and Chris E should be ashamed of themselves for their post match commentary.

Well, she denied it at first. Although the video showed it happed. And then her coach confirmed it happened.

And as you said, it was a warning. WARNING,!

It’s embarrassing that anyone would defend Serena’s actions yesterday.

Yes I think they both fricked up

Serena lost her mind, and the umpire decided he wanted to make the match about him
