Orgeron fabricating scrimmage stats?

Cue the X-Files music...
Is it possible that Orgeron makes up scrimmage statistics to throw off our opponent? Similar to how coaches can downplay or embellish injury reports. I really am not concerned with the lack-luster stats in a controlled scrimmage, but wonder if maybe he deludes reality a little bit in order to make us look a little weaker offensively. It's no secret that our defense will be our strength- so saying they've been dominant isn't giving anything away. Just a question that has crossed my mind and am interested to see what others think.

This is what all the O Pumpers are praying.

Scrimmages are situational. The only people who care about stats are some fans. Opposing coaches don't give a rip about our scrimmage stats.

So you think Mark Richt is reading our offensive scrimmage stats and saying, "hey guys look at these lousy stats! We're giving you the week off, see ya game week!"

God, I hope not. If he did, I'd hope that he'd be smart enough to say Burrow was 29 of 30 with 20+ yds on every pass, and threw one away in a simulated 'stop the clock' moment.
You want your opponent worried about you at this point. They can't see the plays.

Fun fact: all scrimmage stats are fabricated

Way to take my comment to the superlative. Standard rant reply

That’s exactly what he’s doing.. He has no reason to give us the real stats.. besides it would be crazy for him to hype our offense up to the media and when we come out against Miami we look bad.. This is chess not checkers

Are there situations where a combined 15/43 is good?

In fact on SEC this morning Jacob Hester said it’s the exact opposite.
He said Ed has been shooting it straight with scrimmage stuff. He said LSU dropped a lot of beautiful balls against sticky coverage.
He made fun of Les for inflating stats and said the only thing he can say without leaking info is Ed is telling the truth about situational scrimmage stats.
Y’all panick now.

As a conspiracy theorist myself, this is laughable.
Thanks for the morning laugh!

They are, but outside of Mett, our passing stats in scrimmages sucked and we sucked throwing the ball. The same principle should remain in place: assume our offense sucks passing until they put up a season where it doesn't.

Does Coach O really strike you as a chess guy?

Well, we must suck at whatever situations we were working on. Hopefully we improve at those situations.

Seriously?!
Listen, anyone that has ever been a part of a scrimmage knows exactly how they are run. Not only is it controlled, but defenses know all of the audible calls , and all of the signals. It's meant to be hard on the offense. ESPECIALLY, a "work in progress" offense.
Although I think our defense is ELITE, I'm still concerned about what will happen when they don't know what's being run at them. We'll find out soon!!
I, personally, don't give a damn about these numbers.

More like a Candyland type of guy.

Nah. Every insider that’s close to the program on 247 analysts & posters included have said they are close. But they aren’t set in stone. I believe He’s holding back a bit on Burrow who had his normal go to targets out and probably is at 65-70% if wr’s didn’t struggle with drops. He has been very efficient throwing the rock.
