Stradic Ci4 3000 spinning reel

A couple of years back I was kayaking in Grand Isle and stumbled upon a rod and reel floating away with the tide. I pulled it up and it was this reel but I noticed the rod being used wasn't very nice and didn't go well with the reel. I was wondering if any of yall had any rod suggestions for this reel. I mainly have been using it to bass fish with 10 lb. spider braid. Also, any other line suggestions yall might have would help.

Oh that was mine. Thanks for finding it. Will you mail?

St. Croix Premier Spinning Rod

I'm no expert on spinning gear but it really depends on what you want to do with it. Lots of nice rods out there. That's a very respected reel and will do just about anything well.

Depends what your budget is.
I have the same reel paired with a Cajun Delta MH Fast 7'3" that is an inshore machine. Crazy light and tough as hell. $229 retail.
Good warranty too, but I highly doubt you will break it.
1 do it all rod would be a Cajun Savannah 7' MH. $159
I love my Cajun Rods. I often wish they had a faster tip, but they are perfect for inshore and a lot of bass applications. I use a bit stiffer rods for my bottom contact stuff.
If you want a bad arse lightweight bottom contact rod, then just drop the coin and get the Loomis 853S NRX. IMO its the best rod out, but you will pay for it.

I have that reel on a 13 fishing Omen green rod.

I've got a few of those on Teramar rods. I really like the rods, but the warranty sucks so I am staying away from Shimano rods from now on.

Throw it on a Falcon LowRider Salt 7’
Picked up one of these a while back and it’s one of my favorite trout fishing spinning rods

It would look good on an Ugly Stik Elite

Castaway has some excellent rods
The new Invicta ll and the Skeleton series in particular(Invicta ll has not been added to website as of yet)
I have several Ci4's and they pair perfectly with both rods. Cost from $189-269

If you're doing any finesse fishing, you may want to try straight fluorocarbon.

LOL. I used to not be fond of it but grown on me since trying different brands. Not cheap, but seagaur tatsu is awesome.

I’ve got a couple Cabelas Magtouch medium 7’ers that are pretty spiffy for trout fishing, also use them for weightless flukes or swimming worms. Both have Symetre 3000s with leadered 30# braid, will sling a fluke a mile. I don’t remember when I bought them or how much, probably on sale, but they’ve been around awhile.

I put a Ci4 2500 on a 6'8" Medium St Croix, for about $200. Same reel, just a smaller spool. I like a soft tip on my rods for spec fishing. I like to put 10# P-Line Flouro on it rigged with 20# Seagaur Floro leader.
That's my rig.
