Does Ed even know what he wants to do on offense?

Serious question. I don't think he knows, especially after paying Canada to leave after one year. He comes in his intro press conference saying we need a QB who can run and pass and offers Tua, which subsequently pissed off Brennan and he decommitted. So instead we had two QBs on the roster with Narcisse and Brennan and two completely different skillsets and physical body builds. I am very concerned about this.

Lowell is going to light it up somewhere. Shame on Ed and "the greatest available OC in America." Ed better know what he's doing or the pitchfork stands will be opening up on Nicholson Dr in approximately 30 days.

I have a source that says he wants to run and pass the ball. Also he wants to score.

Not being an inaccurate passer he won’t.

I think he knows in his mind exactly what kind of offense he wants to run. The problem so far in his career is that he's shown absolutely no ability to get that offense on the field as head coach.

Can't wait to hear the ED O Press Conference....I am looking for sugarcoating this BS.....I think Joe Burrow outperformed them all and it become very obvious.....At least now instead of 4 QB's taking turns which was useless we can get things moving forward with more continuity and proactive offense sets...Best of Luck...

Yes....and No.

He wants to straight up copy, not find inspiration in, "successful" offenses. This includes 2000s USC, but also the Peyton/Brees Offense, and a few others.

The whole problem is we could possibly, (possibly for those people who want to rail against any kind of questioning of O), lack any kind of cohesion or identity. He's running the program by trying to mimic other programs, and the binder is probably a legit copy of Carroll's USC plan. O has no original thought or vision, honestly, and that's been pretty apparent.

Lowell may light it up at the JC level but that doesn't mean he's SEC caliber. Who knows? Maybe he'll do well enough to warrant an offer from a D-1 school next year???

He's literally said at least 3 different things about what he wants on offense since he got the interim job in 2016.
