Pappas Bros had one of the best steaks I've ever had.

Do lunch at Lankford Grocery, it’s close to MidTown and Montrose. Then walk over to the MidTown area bars for some day drinking.

EIther papas or B&B Butchers. Both are fantastic.

I never see Brenner's mentioned anymore. Have they been forgotten in this town like Ruth's? That many better options?

I asked this board not too long ago the steak question. The most recommend was Pappa Bros Steakhouse. Hands down best steaks I've ever tasted. Since then I have hit a few other steakhouses in Houston like Vic And Anthony's etc. and Pappas still is number 1 to me.

It was on my list. Haven't been in a while, but it's still probably top 3 for me.

I strongly recommended Pappas Bros Steakhouse and Killen's in Pearland.
The service at both makes it more of an experience than just a meal.
If you go to Pappas, try the lobster deviled eggs.
If you go to Killen's, try the bone marrow.

Lynn's will not be a trend pick but I highly recommend, consistently on point and a great little place.
To the the other poster Taste of Texas? Really? Your local bonanza finally shut down?

Already some great recs, so I’ll throw out the best steak at a non-steakhouse.
32oz dry-aged ribeye at Pax Americana

Another vote for Pappas Brothers. Outstanding experience. Haven't tried any of the others, but I would trust those recommendations as well, depending on your location.
We were staying at The Houstonian one weekend, and the concierge there recommended Pappas Brothers. He's not there anymore, but he could get you a table anywhere in Houston.
