The conventional wisdom said that HRC would win the election in a walk. and she clearly agreed with that assessment.
Where is the payoff in “setting up” the candidate you expected to beat, who likely would have returned to private life.

Damn. If the democrats can play long ball like this, with two years and layers of complex conspiracy planning, those are the guys I want running the government, as opposed to the apparently hapless no planning and no awareness republicans, who constantly fall into their traps.

All their energies are put into the trappings of power and maintaining it. Not into improving the lives of their constituents.

Politics of personal destruction... they thought SHE would win and then was going to destroy Trump personally and financially as a message to any other opponents.
