think the trail boss includes the Z71 hardware (locking diffs, skid plates, bigger tow hooks, hill descent control, etc.) plus the Dura-Track tires and a noticeably taller suspension.
The new GMC Sierra has a version of it too that looks more grown up and less like a Baja truck.
im not feeling the front end on the new gmc (i think the AT4 is the model like the trail boss). at least not in pics. will have to see them both in person. u had a 2010 silverado, then a 2014 silverado, and swapped to the 2018 gmc because i liked its front end better. I just need to see both in person but im digging the trail boss pics

I agree on the front end, I surprised myself at how much I like it after watching a few videos.

I think Chrysler still has some of the best designers among the American and Japanese carmakers.
I wish they had fewer Fiat based models. Those all suck.

also noticed that 6 tons of towing capacity out of a half ton is pretty easy to configure from every manufacturer except Toyota now. Kind of negates the point of a tougher riding 3/4 ton truck IMO.
Even if the engine can pull 12k lbs, that seems a bit much for a half ton. I’d still go with the 3/4 if I’m regularly towing loads that heavy.

I like the way it looks. I would have considered it had it been available last year when I bought my truck. I just preferred the F150 over the current model Silverado

Wonder how much GM shelled out for that review
I hear you. Don't trust auto week. I'll wait for the JD Power reviews.

I know Toyota lags behind the big 3 in market share as far as pick ups go but they've got a ton of ground to make up with their next gen Tundra, whenever that may be. The most recent update freshened the cosmetics but everything underneath is basically still the same powertrain that came out in the 2nd Gen in 2007.
Think about how much the big 3 pickups have changed in a decade. They're all offering turbo 6s or diesel along with the big v8s. I believe the Tundras only options are basic v6 and old arse v8.

GM = 100 years of building trucks and still hasn't figured out that wheels are round

What I do like about Chrysler is that they aren’t afraid to jam horsepower into their cars and SUVs (well just the Cherokee).
They ran an add in a magazine that contains the letter they received from the NHRA saying the Demon was too fast to race as a stock auto.
ETA Forgot to include the pic.

The Tundra and Sequoia need a major rework. They are definitely not moving many to anyone outside of the Toyota faithful with those dinosaurs.

I think Toyota will redo the Tundra for 2019. But it does seem Toyota is content to invest little money into and sell it’s 100k per year or whatever it sells. The Tundra was by far the best truck out there in 2007ish when this model came out, and yet it still really couldn’t crack the market share. So maybe there’s little incentive for Toyota to invest.
I bought a 2016 Tundra knowing full well it wasn’t cutting edge, but I don’t mind. It does all I need and I expect to keep it 10 years. But it definitely isn’t the best except maybe in the amorphous “reliability” category, and who knows about that.

Now this one looks slicker than cum on a gold tooth. I love my 2013 but finally just paid it off

That’s the production version of the Sierra with the AT4 off road package. Less chrome and more ground clearance than standard Sierras. It’s definitely a looker.
The tires are the same ones used on the ZR2.
