What to look for, in order of importance:

1. # of games where the 2nd game of the B-2-B is a road game. Historically, teams win a low percentage of these games

2. # of 3 games in 4 night and 4 games in 5 night stretches. Again, much harder when the later games in stretch are on the road

3. Which teams you play 4 times vs. 3

4. Of the teams you play 3 times, which ones do you play twice on road (as opposed to twice at home)

5. Strength of the teams you play on the 2nd game of a back to back (Playing Sacto game 1, and then Utah the next night is not as good as playing Utah night 1 and Sacto night 2, for instance)

That one I don't believe in as much, unless its substantial. two days difference, or more, it matters. But a 1 day difference either way doesn't matter to me unless its a road back to back.

But a road back to back team is more likely to lose regardless of the rest period on the other side. I'm not saying it doesn't matter, but the stat they give where it is as simple as it is, wouldn't be in my top 10.

I'd like to eliminate 1 day rest vs 2 day rest because that is negligible and not an advantage for either IMO. Same with 2 days vs 3 days rest. Also, travel matters. If we have only had one day rest and Portland had two but they had to fly in from Portland, then I wouldn't think the Pels are the ones at a "disadvantage" in that scenario

The Pelicans play Portland, Golden State, Utah and Los Angeles Clippers three times each. Only one home game vs. POR and GSW. Pels fans won’t have opportunity to welcome Cousins back to NO until the last game of the season on April 9.

Nice chance to start strong with a relatively easy Kings/Clips/Nets homestand after the Rockets opener.

We have a REALLY good opportunity to pile up wins in the last month or so. If we're struggling to stay in the race or hoping to move up in the seeding, the chance will be there.

From March 10 though the end of the season, there's a chance to make a run. Including the last game, when Golden State will probably be locked into their spot.

That's pure BS. One one of the GS games at home and it is the last freaking game of the year? GS may even be just resting players for the playoffs by then.

checking out the ending stretch, MAR/APR arent bad at all, especially compared to the last few years

a bunch of East teams in there, the downside is that if the pels need to make up ground it will be harder

as always:
-win your home division games
-win your games vs bad teams
-go .500 on the road

But its good for the Pels if we need a win for seeding purposes! I admit it might suck for some fans who just want to see GS in person. Honestly I've seen enough of them the past 4 years so I'm happy.

To only have one of the games at home is BS (while 2 are on the road). However, I would prefer a game against GS, not their backups. I want to see how we perform against them at home and see a meaningful game against the best.

Well the schedule rotates ever year for non-division conference opponents, so this year its only 1 home game vs GS.

I know I'm biased as a STH who goes to more games than I miss and who has seen GS play alot in person the past 4 years. That said, NBA is a long season and if we need a win at the end of the season I could care less if GS rest their players. Also, maybe we will be locked into the 4th seed and GS may need a win for the #1 seed, which in that case it would be their starters playing our backups. Would that make you feel better?

A pretty decent schedule, and I can make a lot of them. The only ones that I'm really upset about are the back to back December 28 and 29th and then on New Year's Eve. I usually take a week off that time of year and travel.

I've got to come up with some really good trivia when I have freebies for you sons.
