you’re right.... let me clarify, there was a pass rush but the quarterbacks knew they couldn’t be hit

and when the defense can't hit the QB, they don't make aggressive lunges and dives to try to tackle, flush, or disrupt the QB. The defense had to rein it in a notch, and it was essentially touch football with the QB, which gave him more time and comfort in the pocket.

And even still, we saw the results...

in practice his accuracy looks good. have to see how that does in REAL TIME GAMES. plus he needs to read a D. even our best QB's all were weak reading a D early on.

Sometimes I am amazed at how delusional and out of touch with football reality this board is. Then I remember that this is a message board where probably half of the posters believe Ed fricking Orgeron is a better coach than Jimbo Fisher.

I don't necessarily think he's a better coach. He did have a much better record in a tougher division than Jimbo did though. We'll see what happens this year.

BS. They are all backups at sometime in their careers.
Peyton Manning was a backup,co starter until his competition was injured.

sometimes? a bunch here have never played or coached anything in their lives and are football ignorant which is putting it nicely. There is a reason at times i have stated in the past we have the dumbest fans in the nation when actually trying to discuss football here with posters who have no context, rationality, perspective or objectivity.

Really? A fourth year player? Without a problem w the starter, Burrow never plays at OSU. Manning started 45 games in 4 years and is in the college football Hall of Fame. Without transferring Joe woulda started none with less than 1,000 yards passing

So you're completely ignorant of the situation or being willfully obtuse. Either way, good luck with that.

Does that mean tOSU has two or three real Peyton Manning’s if they let this kid walk?

OSU did not let him walk. They wanted him to stay. He was able to transfer and play immediately because he had already graduated.

Because after 3 years Urban Meyer didnt think he was good enough to get the nod?

So tell us why your points are more on point than anyone elses.

You're so dumb you dont realize your post is describing yourself. Yet you call.others dumb.

You know nothing...not a fricking thing, not ONE about this team or the future performance of any player or personnel decision. Everything in your head is decided from reading message boards....yet it's some sort of facts in your head.

You're just like every other poster here, you dont know shite as facts

Ok

Urban, who will cover up anything to win, knowingly started the worst QB of the two.

A QB that was referred here as a special player, a beast, couldn’t separate himself and OSU.

I hope that Burrow has a great year if he earns the job, but transfer QBs that are phenoms do not exist unless there is grade, drug, or discipline issues that get them kicked off the first team
