My brother has a yeti and i have an rtic. They are about the same and we have both beat the shite out of them for the past couple of years. He has the hopper and i have the softpack 30. both work well.

they serve a purpose just like any other cooler, depends on each individuals needs as to whether they are better or worse then a regular cooler.

personally i find them to not be that great for keeping ice from melting or not leaking water and i would never buy another one

I've had the same Polar Bear cooler for 10yrs+ and no leaks still works great.

Why spend 300 bucks on a bag cooler by stinken ol yeti when this does the same for 45 bucks. I have one and it holds the ice for well below half the price

Here is a damn good review on the ozark trails hard cooler too

I only have experience with my RTIC and it's been good to me. I had it in my car all day yesterday parked in the Louisiana heat and my ice packs were only 20% melted when I took it out of the car around 5:30. I was parked in a parking garage so no direct sun but still pretty good for a soft cooler IMO.

Ice Mule. No zipper to break. Easy to carry. Love mine.

My yetie bag doubles as carry on luggage. I’ve used it to carry boudin sasauge and pheasant breast. It was clutch on bring home our pheasant Breast from ND with no hassle.. just froze the Breast the night before and threw them in the bag no need for ice still frozen when got home. I guess you can do that with other bags but the way the original yeti bag is shaped it fits perfect in an overhead compartments of an airplane..
Eta you will probably get stopped by tsa it happened to me three out of four times but they laughed when they saw it was boudin and sent me on my way

AO cooler gets the nod for me.

Price, quality is there - it will leak from the top - but I freeze a water bottle or Gatorade - put the on the bottom then cold beer / drinks on the top - perfect every time.

Had an RTIC since 2016. Took care of it, applied the zipper grease/lube monthly, worked well. Last couple of months the zipper started coming off track. Last week almost the entire zipper came off track. After research this is a common problem that occurs after 2 years. Warranty expires after 1 year. Just bought a Tourit.

I have an RTIC 30 and it works great, but it is a pain in the arse to open. The Hopper is a much better design IMO. But I’m not dropping 300 on a soft ice chest.

Holding out for a China deal on soft coolers...
