Repeat after me. “No one is harming the program by posting on an internet message board.”

I pretty much agree with everything you said outside of this. I will never let anyone question my loyalty to the university. I've been going to games since before my first birthday and have spent 10s of thousands of dollars on tickets, merchandise and the like over the last 43 years.

Why does Orgeron deserve the benefit of the doubt? He actually deserves the opposite based on past performance.

There is a reason why people with 2.0 GPAs don’t get into medical school. Their grades are a good indicator of future performance.

O is the worst coach in Ole Miss history. He was not sought as a head coach at any other Power 5 school....or D2 school for that matter that I’m aware of.

We lost to Troy last year...at night...in Tiger Stadium.

We got blown out by State.

We lost to a toilet paper soft Notre Dame.

Three of the SEC teams we beat last year fired their coaches after the season.

Why should he be given the benefit of the doubt? Based on past performance, shouldn’t any rational person assume the worst and, as a fan, hope for the best?

The Cheeri”O”s will deem anyone who doesn’t make 3,123,456,778 excuses for him and look beyond the next 5 months as toxic to the program! It’s lame, but that’s how they are.

You ae a classic example. The man has had one year as official head coach. We have no idea how his tenure will ultimately develop. Yet you choose to negatively label any one who supports him. Its more important to you that he fail to justify your loathing for him.

He came within seconds of a 10 win season in his lst year, had the fourth best record in the SEC yet somehow the program is a disaster to some of you. Let it play out over 3 to 4 seasons instead of latching onto every stumble as proof positive of your beleif while ignoring the postive happenings. That is what supporting the program means. More positive support and witholding knee jerk negative comments will be a big step in creating a better environment surrounding the program.

There are quite a few that are just fans O simply because he's from the bayou. They couldn't care less about LSU football and will never be heard from again if and when he is let go.

A lot of OSU fans have become LSU fans because Joe Burrow plays for LSU and you are stuck with your hate for coach O?

We’re all LSU fans. Were before Orgeron and will be after Orgeron.

Passionate fans will always be critical of coaches. Especially one who didn’t do anything in the past to deserve the job.

Is LSU all of a sudden an experimental program? We need to be patient and give multiple chances to see IF it works out?

Maybe the same passionate fans don’t want to gamble, we want to win now, without excuses and told to be patient.
The resources and talent are there, it’s time to win and win big games.
If Orgeron succeeds or doesn’t, I’ll still be here. Just more frustrated with our admistration if it doesn’t happen, now!

I mean that's really not fair when you think about it.

Maybe they've learned from their mistakes by the time medical school rolls around. If they really want to get it they should be let in.

being a good fan = never calling out your coaches when they are horrible bc you make things worse for them

being a good citizen = never calling out your government officials when things are bad you make things worse for them

that sound about right?

Publicly criticizing the coach at this point in time only hurts the program. There is zero chance that a coaching change will happen before the season starts, so nothing good can come of it.

So no one is allowed to have an opinion unless it’s previously been approved by the Opologist?

So you Opologist are allowed to point out positives but we can’t point out the fact that he lost to Troy and got his arse handed to him by Moo U?

Why should we sit quietly by and let this play out for 3 or 4 seasons? Do you not realize the damage 3 or 4 bad seasons can do to a program? Look at Tennessee. It’s going to take a decade of good coaching to overcome Butch.

Does being a good “fan” mandate willful ignorance? I see so many posts about “supporting the Tigers” or “being a good fan” and the like. In the mind of fans that support the O hire and tenure, do you think that you must discard what we know about our coach to support the team and desire them to be victorious?

Willful ignorance?
How about being rational and wait until the cake finishes baking?

Many of you are like the characters in old westerns, anxious to hang someone without a trial. Reminds me of “The Oxbow Incident” or “Twelve Angry Men”.
The constant harangue about Orgeron serves no purpose.

I mean if he's baking on the wrong temperature and using dog turds instead of sugar we're supposed to wait to see if the cake tastes good?

Being a "good" fan means supporting the team through thick and thin. You can do that and still regret the O hire. So you don't like or support the coach so that means you can't support the team. Sounds like your attitude means if you don't like O you won't support the team. Not Good!!!
