Check at Walmart in sporting goods, they have a good sized soft sided cooler for $50 that looks well made

Check out Ice Mule. Love mine. No zippers to break and easy to carry.

How long do you guys expect a soft sided cooler to last? OP said he used it almost daily for 2 years, that seems like a damn worthwhile lifespan IMO.

Lol to anyone that thinks these companies do "repairs". They buy these things for like $15-20 each. Its easier and cheaper for them to simply send you a new one or send you a new part if something like a strap or something easily repairable breaks.

I've had one of these for about 2 years and its held up well. I use it pretty much every weekend. One of the zippers recently broke so it will only close from one side now.

TPU laminated fabrics and the ways to bond it are not equal. Higher quality materials and using the strongest bonding method combined with more stringent quality control costs more. It appears this failure is due to the welded seam failing, I'm not sure how to repair that. However if the lamination has peeled off the fabric you may be able to relaminate it with care and a hot iron.

suggest gorilla caulk. I have both ones you described, and havent had a problem, but im not very hard on my gear to be honest.

Bump

Same exact issue with my 3 year old Soft Pack 40

Has anyone had luck with gorilla caulk, flex seal or other adhesives?

This might sound crazy but I've had good results w/ that shoe goo stuff when the glue from my hunting boots fails. If it will permanently bond that it should work for your rtic. Or maybe something flexible like this LINK

That E6000 looks like it might be the ticket. I’ll give it a shot this weekend. Thanks

Good luck. Please let us know how it works. I've got a couple of rtic soft coolers, thankfully none have failed yet.

I bought a 30 camo RTIC on Amazon for $99, free delivery before our Destin trip in July. Lets just say I returned it immediately when we got home. It didn't hold ice worth crap and I could tell the zipper was going to fail at some point. For the life of me I don't understand why all these cooler companies don't just spend the extra money and put a legitimate zipper like on the Yeti. I have heard good things about the newer Ozark Trail units at Wally Whirl (relatively speaking for the $). Truth be told; I'll take a hard side Igloo/Coleman/Gott etc.. over these soft side units and at a fraction of the cost. Bottomline: soft side coolers suck in general. Buy the Yeti if you have the cash and just want a SS.
