I respect LSU, regardless of the media and chatter around Coach O’s inability to make it happen.
I’m a UM fan and seem to have more faith in coach O than some Tiger fans which is odd considering we’re ACC.
It’s kind of exciting to me when I see all this talk about how weak Miami is. How overrated we are. We’ve got probably two 1st round defensive draft picks in Johnson and Jackson. Possibly 1st or 2nds in Quarterman, Joe Jackson and A Richards(depending on season).
Let alone others further in the draft.
I’m thinking 5 in first 2 rounds minimum.
Like I’ve said our QB is our key. If he’s 60% accurate(which I understand LSU D is legit)
we win.
I think LSU could be very good this year if the defense stays off the field.
If Miami captures offensive rhythm LSU is in trouble.
Real talk- we respect your program, respect us

This board can be very delusional in the offseason...take the disrespect with a grain of salt.

Respect Miami Bc you have an SEC washout coach that led y’all to victories over a division 2 schedule only to shite the bed at the end against actual competition? This thing won’t be close. Yalls 5th year dog shite quarterback stands no chance against this defense. This isn’t 1988 chief, it’s going to be bad for y’all in Dallas.

ETA: real talk

LSU at one time had 5 or 6 projected 1st or early second rounders prior to the 2016 season. I’ll let you guess how that went. Projections mean nothing. If those guys in the 2nd and 3rd level don’t have any protection from the d-line it won’t matter. We will be one of the more physical teams you play all year. No one really knows it yet, but we are much improved along the o and d-lines. You will find out on September 2nd. LSU 23 Miami 13

Lsu has 2 top 15 picks on D and we finally have depth at d line. Our offense is a huge unknown though.

“IF” your QB completes 60%, and “IF” your offense catches rhythm then LSU is in trouble????

Guess what two things we aren’t worried about.

Jk welcome man. Looking forward to a fun kickoff game.

Hoping O stays out of the way and lets Aranda and E do their thing or Richt will run circles around him

ETA: I do think yall are a bit of hype based on a weak ACC last year. Yall are a good team heading in the right direction but if our coaches do their jobs I don’t think you have the depth to keep up with us.

Your D gets the headlines with the belt but I think your offense is going to be surprised at what our D can do.

I respect your defense but honestly thinking Burrow is going to surprise your D, lack of film on him is a huge advantage for us imo.

As long as he doesn’t force the ball and uses his legs to escape the pocket and keep the chains moving I’m excited about our chances.

The draft projections on Miamis team isn't anything to make us scared. We play teams loaded to the brim with talent 4 to 5 times a year. Every year. Miami is good, I really do believe that. I personally believe that our defense is gonna be a tad too good for y'all to handle and we win a low scoring game. LSU 17 Miami 13.

Richt has Miami close to being “back” so to speak so I imagine this is a huge game around the program. It’s equally as big around LSU even though we play these games every year pretty much. The canes D looks loaded with talent to me so I believe neither offense does a lot n this game. I do believe Burrow is as good as advertised but it doesn’t help that he has to come out the gate against that Defense. Our Dline instantly got better when GG & CL left (Sr starters on Dline). Fehoko has to sit out and Big Ed wasn’t healthy. Our Rb is unknown but that won’t last. He’s legit. Imo it comes down to qb play. Who steps up big late versus who throws that big 2nd half pick that flips the field. Essentially it’s a home game for LSU so I give LSU a slight edge. All trolling aside I’m gonna say 20-16 LSU with Miami falling short on the last drive of the game.

So if our defense never plays, the opposing offense will have a hard time scoring?

Since you like O so much why don't we trade him to you for Richt straight up?

Im going to be honest and boring and say I really have no idea what to expect in this game.

I don't have any idea how Burrow will be in this offense or exactly what kind of offense this will even be. No established elite back returning is another wildcard. On paper, I actually really like our offense. Though I'm not extrapolating shite off that. There's just too many unknowns and the spring game definitely didn't make me feel comfortable.

I really like our defense. I think our front seven are going to be really hard to handle. If we get Fulton back to play opposite Greedy, this is a defense without any holes and a tremendous DC to scheme with.

I also admittedly know shite about Miami. This board will be ungodly confident going into a season opener though, especially with optimism surrounding a new QB. I've seen LSU teams with huge talent disparities have big time letdown performances in games like this. UNC, Wisconsin, and Washington come to mind. So basically...

He doesn’t really have a successful track record and people from Louisiana love to complain. It’s really not shocking.

You'll need to score a bit of points to beat LSU and I'm not sure Miami will have the ability to do that. Whereas I believe LSU does have enough scoring in them to get ahead and stay ahead. But good luck to you...
