As many have said, since last year your unbeliveably upbeat spirit in the face of that dreaded C diagnosis we all hope to never hear has been amazing and unforgettable. To the extent attitude helps you are a slam dunk to win. Pulling for you hard as I can.
P.S : wish you would change title to next chapter .

I am approaching one year since my diagnosis with stage IV

T4Life my thoughts and prayers are with you. I can honestly say I know what you are going through. Keep up the fight and I hope they can get those markers down. When I started this mine were 1700, after chemo, radiation, whipple they were down to 16 (in February) then they started climbing 39, then 80 and two weeks ago 380 - that's when they knew it was back

Many prayers to you. I have followed your posts and admired your fight.

In the spirit of admiring your fight, I think you should edit the thread title to read: Pancreatic Cancer- The next “saga”.

There is still that chance, and don’t lose sight of it.

Definition of Saga- a long story of heroic achievement

This posts is intended with the greatest respect and admiration for the fight you have put on and will continue to put up. Best wishes to you and your loved ones.

It builds upon our extensive experience with Lu-177 - a well tolerated and effective isotope that is currently used to treat neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancers.

Thanks for the link Radioactive. Problem is they think it has metastasized to the stomach lining. When my CA-19 markers started climbing (from 16 to 380) I did a PET and nothing showed up. My surgeon and oncologist think it is in the back lining of the stomach and that is why it is not showing up on the scans. Had a second scan today in hopes they can find exactly where it is but I have been warned they may never be able to pinpoint it's location. Since it is not a tumor really only thing that can be done is chemo to slow it down. That is the reason for the grim prognosis.

Can I ask how old you are?

I was diagnosed at 54, I am now 56. An old fart to most of you but fairly young for pancreatic.

My prayers are with you. I'm having this scan done with a loved one this week. We're petrified. Please let me know how it goes.

Dear Stout,
I remember you were with your dad in Houston when I came to the board looking for anyone who had heard of anyone surviving PC. I was so sorry to hear your dad lost his battle and I want you to know you both were always in my thoughts and prayers. I don't know what is harder being the one with cancer (or any terminal disease) or being the loved one/caretaker. I admire you for the support and love you gave your dad.
