What I'm tired of is people in the entrance of Walmart or any grocery store asking you to donate or buy something. This includes girlscouts and legless veterans selling a cross.

Made an observation today in BR...
The beggars with missing limbs do WAY better than the average dudes.
So a missing limb to a beggar must be like big tits to a stripper.

Said he needed to get to St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, Miss. to sell his devices, but needed to see his cancer-riddled girlfriend at the BR General first. Dude will tell you his name is ‘Kevin’ but it’s really George. He always seemed like the type to end up like this.
He just approached me at Albertson’s on College Drive a few minutes ago. When I mentioned I just read about his story on the internet he tried to deny it before walking off.

Too many paying up or the bums would move on.

Seems like when the economy was really in the tank 9-10 years ago there weren’t as many beggars. Now that the economy is trending upwards we’ve seen an exponential proliferation of them. And why in Baton Rouge of all cities?

Has to be some sort of organization coordinating it.

Maybe so. It’s just bizarre how many of them are out there.

Why does Idaho have so many white people?

I think the rise in addictions has an impact on the amount of beggars.

If they would include these bums in the unemployment figures and show them as employed, people would realize we only have a 1% unemployment rate here, not a 4.7%
That’s a solid point. Especially when you consider that 99% of these frickers make more money than a lot of people who are actually gainfully employed.

Any stranger that approaches you is lying. Walk away.

rise in addictions
Maybe so, but addiction has been around forever.

Agreed. I don’t have numbers but there are a lot more opiate and meth addicts around now than years ago. Also there are no more places for mentally ill folks. That’s it . Not going to argue the minutiae. You get the message

I've heard the same but it was I work at foot locker both times I heard it and that his car needed to be towed.

Had a white dude in slacks and a polo come up to me at Chick-fil-A the other week.
Started off asking if I went to catholic bc “back in my day I was ok the swim team and used to destroy those catholic high boys” then went in to how he graduated from LSU with a masters and is in town every other week selling medical devices to hospitals.
Finally, after trying to trash talk me about swimming, bragging about his awesome job and masters degree, he asked me for $20 to get gas.
What the frick?
Exact same guy cornered me outside of the shell on college near chick fil a while I was filling up my tank Sunday. Went on about how he went to DLS in New Orleans and about his swimming career and medical device sales nonsense while I pumped gas. He was decently dressed and sounded articulate, but I knew where he was going with the conversation and told him I don't have cash on me before he could ask. Asked me if I could go to the ATM inside and I told him no thanks. Guy was all in on the long drawn out conversation and driving off I was actually thinking he could be a decent salesman with his conversation skills if he wasn't such a huge piece of shite . No telling how much time he's wasted with the same bs conversation that he could have used trying to find a job and actually earn some $. Always best to tell these scumbags to frick off from the start
