Never played the game did you? Otherwise you might have played a game in which the staff prepared you well but key players didn't perform for whatever reason. That is what I am saying might have happened. Understand O meddling in Canada's offense but I don't believe that kept the offense from producing. Lack of blocking, throwing and catching was the problem as well as 4 turnovers.

Don't care how well you are coached, players have to execute. Otherwise you might not win.

Not an O fan, but geez, he has the job even though I was vehemently against him getting it. But give him a freaking chance! If he shites the bed I will lead the parade to fire him.

BTW, Syracuse barely lost to #8 Miami while they were playing well and then, remember this: they beat #2 Clemson. So the Syracuse win is a little better than you might think.

No question. That's why they have a head coach.

There lies the problem. Maybe the head coach isn't the best at being a head coach. He can recruit and be a good DL coach but he seems to be in over his head as a head coach IMO

I did. More than a few to be honest. I didn't just say, "you know, I don't like him so I'm rooting against him."

That is not how I am. From what I saw last season, it has shaken my confidence. He's a liar and to me, he seems to be in over his head. This is just me. If you feel like he's going to blow the doors off teams, so be it. He has a ton of weapons at his disposal so there are no excuses for poor performance this year.

Your opinion is no more right than mine. I do have to consider his track record as a whole though.

If I'm wrong, I'll be first in line to eat crow and I will happily have seconds.

Perhaps. But how about that bowl game? We're on the one foot, not yard, foot line, and he chooses to kick a FG when the kickers had been struggling all game. And GASP, we miss another. "We coming"

Meaning any reason but Orgeron.

Both teams had 14pts off turnovers, and in quote above you just said they were prepared well.

O will never be anything but a lucky coach at LSU in the eyes of some fans. Lucky that he was in the right place at the right time. Which is true. He has to prove to everyone that he's cut out for this high level, high pressure HCing gig bc his last full time stop was terrible. I think he knows he needs to win over some fans as well as gain national recognition by beating the top tier teams on our schedule. 2018 is the perfect year to do so. If he can do that then it will prove all the doubters wrong.

His instincts on players who will develop is probably the best around. You won't see many players bust, that O has recruited. Also if you look at his classes, most players have contributed and made it to campus. I don't think he will have much turnover from his recruits. He's doing a great job in a short time with building up our depth at the LOS and at LB. He's also recruiting better talent at QB and the skill positions IMO. He's missed a a couple of RBs and CBs but that's about it.

I think if LSU can close out this class with another top 15 OT and (2) top 15 DE/DTs, along with what we have left on our board, it will add to our depth and make us even stronger, as a program, under his watch.

I think this 2018 team is just going to be much different than we've seen in the past. I think they know what to expect, how hard to work and how important the details are. We have players to hold other players accountable. Your coach can do that all day but it simply means more to have your teammate ask you to not let the team down with your effort or lack of attention to detail.

White said it the other day that he's not letting the younger players get away with even the small things and he's setting the example in the film room. The players are now being tested on how the scheme works on the chalk board meeting room as well as on the practice field live and if they don't know it top to bottom, they won't play period.

What does this have to do with explaining why we lost to Troy?

Here’s some fun facts for you people who keep blaming it on the Dline and players :

- 17-0 with 3 min left in the 3rd Qtr
- 0-9 on 3rd down
- 5 Turnovers on offense

The defense was on the field all night, because the offense couldn’t do anything against Troy. Troy.

The blame is on Orgeron. Accept it.

IT WAS frickING TROY! You act like it was against another SEC team.

Our fricking walk on players were probably rated higher than 90% of theirs.

There is zerO excuse fOr us lOsing that game and all the blame falls On One persOn and One persOn alOne.

1 turnover in the first half. Both interceptions came after we scored a touchdown. The second came on a last second play.

Saying 4 turnovers doesnt tell the whole story captain.

What does assigning responsibility of a terrible loss to the head coach have to do with giving him a chance? It's possible to say that he screwed up AND giving him a chance going forward. It's easy to see that he's made changes and I hope they work out, BUT that does NOT mean he can't be criticized just like ALL coaches in every sport are after an historic loss at home.

And what will it look like when he does that? A little hint....A lot like the Troy game!

I have to be honest...this looks like a red flag to me of made up bullshite at this point. This exact talking point has been made time and again and almost word for word.

This is Page 9 of the playbook of "How to be appear to be a reasonable fan, while still apologizing for Coach Orgeron." You first have to declare you're not a fan of his and that you didn't like the hire...BUT, since he's here now you've decided that you and everyone else needs to "give the man a chance." Second...declare that if he doesn't (without giving details as to just what constitutes success anymore) you'll be the first to light the old torches.

Honestly...I just don't buy this narrative any more.

They were 4-8 overall, and 2-6 in the ACC. It was an ugly W, but it wasn’t better than anyone thinks.
