You assume I don't have flamingos in my front yard?

This is a troll your picture is the logo for skeeter boats. You probably have your skeeter boat in your driveway right now.

Ours is managed by a Community Management company from BR. Very efficient and professional. Little over $100 / Month

Actually, my boat is at the fiberglass shop. I have to go pick it up this afternoon. Then I will be taking it to my boat storage where it is kept. Sorry to disappoint you.

you think its great because you think boats in the driveway are tacky, but then your neighbor decides your LSU flag is tacky or the color of your front door isn't an approved color

People who choose to live in a neighborhood with an HOA generally agree on the aesthetic that they find appealing and will usually agree on what they want to see and what they don’t. It’s not nearly as arbitrary as you’re putting it.

There will be people who disagree. Some folks think it’s fine to have a boat in the drive way, or front yard that is “natural” looking, or to have a turquoise and pink house. That’s fine. They should live somewhere that doesn’t have an HOA.

You know what is tacky? Not having space for your boat.

So, it is tacky to not have a 30x15 foot third garage? Who knew?

There are two levels. You are allowed to, and you are not. So, yes. They are on the same level.

Correct. I will not willingly live in a fascist community.

My HOA is fairly lax... only $100 bucks a year and that money mainly pays for a lawn service to maintain the front of the 2 entrances to the neighbor and pay the power bill for the lighting that’s on the front signs

You can keep it at your house, but put it behind the fence. Just an FYI, a nice boat left out in the weather will cease to be a nice boat soon.

I’m glad that I live in a neighborhood that doesn’t need an HOA.

City of Scottsdale can be strict on certain things anyways (palm tree maintenance, junk in front yard, etc). They will fine you for violations.

Choice is a beautiful thing.

Honestly, if I were in the market today I’m not sure if I’d choose to live in a community with an HOA. It has some positives, some negatives.

That would be in the backyard for most of the homes here.
