I’m looking for a WiFi extender and wanted to know what y’all are using. I have a main router set up with my modem on one side of the house. I have Ethernet plugs available throughout the house. It’s not a huge house but I do need one more source than just the router. Main uses for the internet for this extension would be streaming Netflix, Hulu, etc, generally on 2 devices. My internet speed is 300 mb/s

What devices should I be looking at? Pros/cons? Etc

I know this topic has already been discussed in relation to Google WiFi, but I want the board’s general recs here, as it looks like Google WiFi isn’t well liked

Edit: not concerned about budget, most options I’ve seen looked affordable

Someone in the Prime Day Thread said they were waiting on the Google WiFi deal because their Orbi sucks. I'd like the board expert opinions on this too. My wifi isn't as good as it used but I'm thinking it's because I have so many devices on the network now rather than a bandwidth issue. So will a simple $100 MU-MIMO router that is designed to handle Multiple Users be all I need or should I spend $200ish on a mesh network setup, and if so what are the board favorites?

How much configuration are you willing to do? I ask this because your going to get recommendations for setting up wireless AP's with separate controller server on here. Otherwise the various consumer mesh systems have been discussed frequently already.

Well, my internet speeds went from 100mbps to 215+ with a stable and more reliable connection. It 'sucks' to people because it isn't as 'good' as the Ubiquiti mesh system.

My Orbi works very well. I am OT poor and only have a 2,200 sq. ft. home.

Just get any wifi router and put it in bridge mode.
