Let's say Joe B wins the QB job

How will his talents make an immediate impact on the offense/team?
Downfield passing threat?
Good field general?
Better athlete than we've maybe heard, dual threat?

If Joey B doesn't win the job everyone needs to go load up on liquor quickly
To answer your question, based off limited video he seems to have a very good feeling for the game. Pretty accurate with the short/intermediate passes, good pocket presence, with decent arm. He is mobile enough so I don't think that should be an issue. Hard to really say based off limited playing time and how kids look in practice but he's highly regarded, so I am optimistic
We will see soon enough, his success will not only depend on him. The O line has to be able to block, and hopefully Steve can design an offense that allows him to succeed.

I’d love to hear someone who has studied a lot of his stuff. The highlights I saw showed him to have good poise and accurate at pretty much all routes. I didn’t see him really drive the ball any or use his feet much. I think his maturity and decision making will be the difference from the rest of the group.

Ok, I will say it. Joe B has won the QB job.
He's a dual threat, he's smart, and he's strong.

Shouldn't be a problem for our fanbase.

His pre-snap reads and quick decision making is what makes him stand out. He has an average arm and pretty good accuracy. He’s a big guy that can run but won’t make it to the edge in the SEC.
He shines on short to intermediate routes.

Forced reading of the off season rant should be legislated as punishment to criminals

He’s already won the QB job.

reports are that hes already the most talented QB in the SEC, so i dont think its a matter of "if" he wins the starting job

Good friend of mine has told me this: Burrow does not have the strongest arm regarding how far he can throw it but it’s good enough, compared his mobility to Aaron Rodgers and said the best thing about him is he is 10 times better than any QB we’ve had in the last 15 years at diagnosing the play and making a good decision on who to throw it to in a quick time frame. Said he will be the QB for us that we often get frustrated playing against. When we have a 3rd and long and the defense has perfect coverage on our WRs, he will still find a way to squirt out and make the first down. I’m pretty excited to see what he’ll bring to the table for us.

O line is key here. New OL coach finally. Get rid of the bull rush only approach scheme. Revamped OL scheme has me more excited than all other groups this year. If they are solid, I don't care as much who wins the QB battle. If the OL blows, put in the best Dual Threat we got, which is McMilly or Narcissy.
If OL blows at pass protection, Brennan has no shot and Burrow is going to be not as advertised.

You don’t need to be elusive to deal with protection issues.. You just need to make quick decisions and/or audible to a better play.

The fact that he’s been developed by another school already puts him light years ahead of anything LSU currently had on the roster

I’m not seeing that. Dude fits some Lasers into tight spaces and is on the money with most of his throws. His arm is a huge upgrade over Etling

I know shite about
Joe Burrow, except for time
with Urban Meyer.

Sorry, should have been more specific. I fixed it in my above post. He was referring to strength in regard to distance. His actual words were, “He doesn’t have an arm like Mett, he (Mett) had an NFL arm for distance. But you don’t have to have that. Mett’s Problem was that he was a statue.” Also said his accuracy is very good.
