We filled out their surveys, we voiced our displeasure, and we made it clear that last season was the worst concessions most of us has experienced not only in Tiger Stadium, but any venue at that level. Do they care and will improvements be made?

Probably not

The concessions will never be ready in time

Agree. A lot of it is the workers. I mean, were taliking generic nachos, hamburgers and hotdogs here.

Honestly, I wish they'd lease the individual spaces to the highest bidders and create some competition.

I went to the LSU vs Tulane baseball game earlier this season. It was cold and windy, so I bought a cup of hot coffee and it was COLD. They made me a replacement cup, and it was just as COLD. It's bad when concessions workers can't even make a cup of HOT coffee.

I went to a game in April and the only issue I had was not being able to understand the workers broken English.

LOL, no.

Those surveys are to make us feel special. To make us feel like we have a voice.

We don’t.

Don't bet on it, there's a fricking Diversity clause in the contract. If the workers start looking like your local Chick-fil-A, all hell would break loose

Article VI of the contract

No. You won't see an improvement until they contract a different company. That shite is low grade prison food.

No

LSU does not have a clue on fan experience or game day management.

It’s really that simple.

Aramark doesn’t have a good track record so probably not. That being said I don’t eat much at games so I haven’t even noticed a difference. If I do eat it’s peanuts or a sausage poboy so as long as they don’t frick that up I’m fine.

Also interesting in the contract is the payment terms. Check out Article XXI(page 23 of the pdf). Aramark has to pay LSU a percentage of the gross sales, and there's a tiered payout system for football and basketball. But it also says that each year, LSU is guaranteed a minimum $2,400,000 payment regardless of sales. So from an LSU perspective, they get a nice payout no matter how shitty the food and service is, which means they don't really have a huge incentive to force change.

LSU is guaranteed a minimum. If sales increased due to better food offerings then LSU takes in more money. Thus it is in LSUs best financial interest for sales to increase.
LSUs only incentive is more money.

The reality of the situation is it’s very difficult to improve the taste of a shite sandwich.

I do know that Tiger Stadium will be adding additional concessions stands and renovating the existing stands in time for this season.

I can't speak to the quality of the concessions, but the good news is the wait times for concessions will be down.

That's true of the restrooms as well. Besides renovating all current bathrooms, LSU is adding ten additional bathrooms in the lower bowl.

Aramark Has random people lined up for a job, any job, that they are offering that day. The people do not know where they are going in until they get on the bus and realize they are going to LSU tiger stadium or some other event work concession help is needed. Long story short, it is not organized and all the help is completely random and untrained

Putting lavender and yellow toilet paper in all the bathrooms is not "Renovating."

Then I guess it's a good thing they did more than that. A lot more.
