I could make a case for either one. I could also make a case for either one getting robbed. With that said, because Harden averaged 30.4 ppg and led his team to 65 wins, I’m okay with him winning it.
You could make a stronger case for Lebron winning Finals MVP as the losing opponent than for the regular season award imo.

The MVP is always on a playoff team. The voting should be after the finals. That way if guys like Harden fold during the biggest time, there won't be some big mistake like this year.

lebron have the worse d rating in the whole league past the mid point of the season, harden was the best post defender in the whole league, top 5 in steals, 80% percentile in ISO d, etc.etc.etc.
