Regular season MVP doesn't really matter anyway.
This guy gets it.

Not sure why people ever care about awards that are given by a bunch of writers, the same writers they will bash mercilessly every chance they get for how terrible their sports opinions are.

Houston beat Cleveland 120-88 this year. Lebron had 11 points in that game....

Go look at 2009 MVP

Peyton Manning vs Drew Brees

It's pretty bad as well. Drew go shafted hard.

Yep as great as harden is as a player (all timer) he is even better as a GM/team builder.

Ariza
Gordon
Tucker
Paul

Etx
Etx

All hand picked by harden to team up and make a run at GOAT. gonna get em next year.

Enjoy it. It's all Harden will ever win.

Like Westbrook last year, they got caught up in emotion and boxed themselves into a corner with giving him the award this year. They won't make that mistake again. They won't reward coming up small in the playoffs.

when CC wins 65 again and hardens stats are the best in the league, again, you better believe he will be in the mix..whether a steph or kevin one ups him, who knows.. but being mentioned every single year is more of an honour than to win one. Two top 3s in 4 years has been done by only a handful of players, many many more players have won the award once. the year after year elite play is what sticks with me more than one award tbt.

Nah son, those writers already have buyer's remorse. That's the only MVP he'll ever win.

Refs will wise up on all of his little tricks to get to the line and his stats will take a dip.

the league already made a rule last year to try to slow him down on the 3 point fouls and he came back this year and posted the BEST ISO OFFENSIVE SEASON EVER. utterly ridculous.."toughest player to guard in league history" "best offensive player I have seen" etc etc etc you hear if from the basketball lifers time after time, Hardwn is as good as it gets offensively save for a few players..in the history of the game. OH and defensivley he was the best post defender in the league..and nearly atop the league in steals.

And I am the judge of what is a ‘key player’ since I am unbiased.

No, he doesn't define the sport nor is he an icon to the point where his absence detrimentally affects the league's value and appeal, he leaves the NBA today people'll still watch and remain interested in league developments, etc, LeBron, Steph, or KD leave, that's a seismic event bc of how massive and important those players are to the current iteration of the sport a noticeable void will be left as a result, that's just common sense.
