there's no way LSU is going to not reconnect a Uhigh pipeline if it has the option to mend things.

If he wants in, he needs to commit very soon. This staff will not wait around for him.

And it's possible he may not. Will likely depend on what some of the long shots end up doing. If O can pull a Dean/Ika/Young/Stripling/Thibodeaux in for an OV during the season, and the team gets hot, Porter, Harris, and Parker could all be on the outside looking in.

If we finish with your prediction. #1 recruiting class. That’d be awesome

Bama isn’t pressing, LSU is filling up quick, unless he jumps on board in the next month or so I think he’s an Aggot.

You think we’ll take up to 7 DB’s? That seems like a lot. Assuming Zach Edwards isn’t part of the class, I would be ecstatic if we finished with:
1. Ishmael Sopsher
2. Devonta Lee
3. Trey Palmer
4. Ray Parker
5. Noah Cain/John Emery
6. Chester Kimbrough
7. Donté Starks
8. Christian Harris

Eh, top 3-4, but don't see us grabbing #1. Having the Long Snapper and the kicker on scholarships will weigh the class down a bit. Now, just my personal opinion, but I'd be all for telling the long snapper he's getting a preferred walk-on, and use that spot for someone else.

That list would be my best case scenario too.

You don’t mess up that pipeline the Ferguson’s created.

6. Porter 7. Kimbrough 8. Parker/Harris depending on which way they decided to go.

Really hope Parker moves into that 6 spot. Taking Porter along with Kimbrough would put us at 7 DBs and I really think 6 is enough. Kimbrough is the guy I would take between the two. This one leave us with options in our 8 spot such as Harris, Dean, and maybe one more DL. Appreciate the info Vol!

Although difficult to accomplish, I would be all for this as well. If it was any other class I would probably not push for him to walk on. But 2019, we need all of the spots we can get. This would free up a spot to wait on one of the potential long shot recruits.

Dean/Ika/Young/Stripling/Thibodeaux

If they all wait until the end of the football year, I think we get at least 1 of those maybe 2. Dean/Ika/Young/Stripling best chance. The Thibodeax guy I just can't see happening but I could be completely wrong and he be the only one we sign.

I also think Parker has a spot and will commit very soon along with Starks, possibly Palmer as well. I just think Parker will be groomed for a tackle spot and we need one as bad as anyone else.

If anyone loses his spot, it will be Harris, bc of the big LBer we just signed. Who I think will be ready once he learns the defense.

I really want to sign at least 2 of those names mentioned along with most of the list. If we do that then we could end up with number 1 or 1a. If we can get Dean and Sopsher, that's four 5*s all at differnt levels of our defense and on the OL.

Not just 5*s but top 10 type players. That's crazy.

Yeah that connection is too strong. Don't see them signing 7 DBs either.

I wouldn’t mind doing it, what about a “gray shirt” offer? Would free up 9 total spots.

The kicker is a must. I think the juco we signed this year is gonna win us some big games, and would be nice for the freshmen to come in and give us security at that spot for the next 4 years

Hearing Parker may be a grade casualty...

Byron Young has got to be easily the best chance out of those five, no? He grew up liking LSU and worked out on Thursday. I never thought we were getting Pickering, but Young doesn’t have a cousin on Moo U like Pickering does. I just don’t think LSU prioritized him through the spring, but I hope that changes now that he’s worked out for the staff.

7 DBs is too many IMHO. Need to spread out the numbers btw classes better than that. If Parker is a grade casualty, then they should keep that scholarship open for a different offensive tackle.

7 DBs is the same type of numbers mistake that Miles would make. Would help our recruiting ranking but be bad roster management. I would also take a 3rd WR or 2nd TE before that if they are different types of players than what we currently have (a pure slot WR to replace Giles/Dillon, for example).

I dont think we will be waiting around for Harris, nor will Alabama. We just have guys higher on the board and he has no real position. If we land Starks and Lee, it kind of makes taking Harris redundant.
