Hope we get him

I do hear he is very very very high on Bama and they seem like the team to beat from what I've been told

Did not hear a lot about A&M really

Is Auburn just another name to thrown on?

This is just speculation, but does anyone else find it interesting that he decided to release his top 4 right after we loaded up on commitments this weekend? It’s almost like he felt the need to maybe speed his process up to make sure he gets his time in the spotlight while also getting ready to secure his spot in the class. Once again this is pure speculation, but it just seemed like that may be the case to me.

Like maybe he's feeling the pressure, and he's been told it's time to shite or get off the pot?...

I think it is a very good speculation.

Shea Dixon of the recruiting site 24/7 said this on the radio this morning. Paraphrasing but this is pretty close to exactly what he said give or take a typo or two:

"The phones over at football ops and Ed Orgeron's phone is buzzing today. A lot of other kids are realizing there are only 7 spots left. I need to find out IF I can get in, I need to hold my spot. A lot changes when going from 12 to 17 commits. The numbers just crunched."

Personally, I’m glad the pressure is finally on the kids to make a choice and not drag things out until NSD. It’s not fair to the coaches and schools recruiting them to have so many kids waiting until the last minute when most of them decided where they’re going months before.

If this past week's influx of commitments is "lesson learned" why DID WE NOT KNOW THIS LAST YEAR?

Orgeron has been recruiting hither and yon, allegedly his forte, yet he had to go through all the travails and "labor pains" of last February to get to this year's "lessons learned"?

It seems a bit shallow/hollow. I hope our commitments address our needs and the guys are good players, but come on! How long does it take for Miles or Orgeron to learn lessons in recruiting?????

I'd be surprised if he lands at Bama. Like LSU, he missed his window to commit. Board is filling up for both teams.

We may not either. Bus is getting full quick, and he isn't one we're going to sit around and wait on.

RB Cain - Emery(follows his girl to MSU)
LB Starks (lock)
WR Palmer (lock) Lee to the Gumps
DB Porter (love his measurables) Kimbrough or Bush?

This is my guess based on everything at the moment:
Drop Edwards to put us back at 17
Leaves 8 spots
1. Starks
2. Cain
3. Palmer
4. Lee
5. Sopsher
6. Porter
7. Kimbrough
8. Parker/Harris depending on which way they decided to go.

There's some long shots for that 8th spot, too, but until they get to campus for a visit, I don't really take them as seriously.
