Washington Redskins WR Trey Quinn has shown strong hands and quickness out of his breaks during the offseason, according to ESPN's John Keim. Quinn is currently best-suited for the slot, but the team hopes he can learn additional roles. Head coach Jay Gruden referred to Quinn as a 'very quarterback-friendly target.'

A seventh-round pick out of SMU in the 2018 NFL draft, Quinn is a reliable target who can help move the chains. He's what scouts call a 'zone beater' and can find the soft spots to sit down against that type of defense. Quinn is competing for a spot on the depth chart behind Paul Richardson, Josh Doctson and Jamison Crowder.

Read this, this morning. Thought it was interesting. Trey Q was always a guy that I wanted to succeed here. Looks like he will be successful at the next level. Will be cool to watch him and Guice on the same field!

He appears to have made the correct decision for himself and seems like a good kid.

Personally, I see no reason for ill will towards him.

Certain players are held to a higher standard on this board. Trey fit that description. I hope he does well in the NFL.

He's definitely not breaking the top 3 WR's in WASH. His best bet is to take the WR4 spot.

Getting away from Miles was the best decision that kid could have made. Hope he balls outrageous.

I doubt he'll ever hit a high point as high as the crowd surfing moment, but if he can catch on and earn some $$ in the league, that won't be anything to sneeze at.

Why does Quinn get multiple favorable threads but Ben Simmons is almost universally reviled on here?

I agree. He single handedly made Bamas QB look better.

He had a couple of shots here to win a game....ge failed like the butch he is.

Some of you guys are only interested in him because he is white. Change this dude’s color and no one would give a shite about him.

Your downvote confirms this.

How does he compare to a guy like Brandon Stokley? Stokley had a very nice career in the league. I always thought of them as being similar.

I am shocked Les Miles could not recognize NFL talent at WR. Hope Quinn has a long career. Good guy.

Thrilled the skins got em, I’m a big skins fan and it was depressing watching us draft Bama players over and over again.

I think he’s got a real shot to make the squad, our WR corps is one of the worst I the league and slot guys like him for what Jay is trying to do.
