It’s amusing and almost cute that some of you seem to think that Trump and the Republicans aren’t playing politics.

The pushback hasn't really started in earnest yet.

Are you going to wear a pussy hat?

It's amusing and cute that you think that matters.

Well they not only are overplaying their hand they have showed their cards way too early. Any sane rational person sees this for what it is a propaganda piece. The thing these corporate media types do not understand is that no longer have the influence and power they used to have and this is due to the internet. Holes have been poked in this narrative and aside from the SJWs and Bleeding Hearts no one really cares about this coordinated propaganda peice and will have no impact on the midterms.

No...you're confused.
The repeated issue being pointed out is the repeated lies by the libs/alt-left. The absurdity of their thought processes is unhealthy, yet they don't seem to have the self awareness to seek help.
Again...the issue is their mental health problems and the potential for them to go on another shooting spree, like they always do, or harm innocent individuals by other means.

yeah, and guess what suburban housewives have as their top priority?...the wellbeing of their children by proxy of their own economic stability.
That certainly is a top priority. Gun control is also a hot button topic. I would also guess #meToo registers with them.

i tend to agree with this except i think it removes an issue for democrats to run on and it fricks with the caricature of trump that can best be summarized as "temperamentally unfit" people see this and go "hmmm, maybe this guy knows what he's doing. maybe, he's not only not stupid, but quite cunning"
I think you are projecting. We have no signed agreement with NoKo, nor do we have something pending. While NoKo summit was a win for the president, there are a ton of losses too.

let's just operate on the assumption that muh children is an issue for which democrats have popular support...kind of ruining it with the hitler stuff and oversaturation not just in terms of volume, but intensity.
I think the issue is a winner for dems, regardless of what happens. Someone on the right is going to be angry about what transpires, and that bodes well for the dems.
The dems are in relatively good position. Trump remains unpopular, his top issues poll poorly outside the base. For the house, the democrats are getting some wins. PA redistricting. Tax vote consequences in CA/NJ.
The election is going to be pretty fun to watch, I am excited to see what transpires.

A slower play might have worked better, but the issue was starting to get traction.

This whole issue is possibly the single greatest, "hey, look over there" I've seen in my adult lifetime.

So you admit, it’s political and dems (like repubs) really don’t give a shite about this issue?
I like the honesty. It’s refreshing.
I give no bigger shite about these Mexican kids than I do a drug dealer who gets caught and has their kids put into the system.
If you want to keep your kids dont break the fricking law.

quote:the left always does this, contrived some issue that gets their base all frothy and they think they are making progress. Nobody who voted for Trump the first time gives a shite or they agree with him.
the left is so desperate for a winning narrative that they’re overplaying their hand

They overplay their hand every single time vs Trump and they keep getting a face full of orange nutsack.
