I dunno, throwing the ball to physical specimens in stride and in space seems kinda out there.

Why cant we line up with two TEs and crash the ball in to a 9 man front?

I'm glad we have a strong test to open the season. Playing a FCS or a non-Power 5 team with vanilla playcalling doesn't help us get better when we have to travel to Auburn 2 weeks later.

Last season is a good example...We went into Starkville untested and got our arse beat by 30.

How has Stephen Sullivan developed, especially since he had a bunch of touches last season? I really think Racey is gonna be special very soon for us and it's good to hear the young guys putting in work. Let's see if Jerry Sullivan can get the most out of these guys...

This question, but for Drake Davis and Stephen Sullivan

Seems like with the new system and Giles, Jefferson and the freshman seemingly set to play a lot, there aren't many opportunities for the bigger WRs on the team.

This.

I think we'd all be more comfortable doing this.

I'll preface this by saying that Coach Sullivan has made everyone look better so far, just some receivers stand out more, and those are the guys I've mentioned so far. With Coach, it's a no bullshite policy. He's not one that's going to yell and scream and make you hate him. You run the wrong routes or drop too many passes, and your arse just finds the sidelines. For some of our guys, running the right routes consistently used to be a problem, but that was addressed during the Spring, and has since been significantly better. The guys y'all have asked about, have all shown improvement, and will get some PT, but frankly just aren't on the same level as some of the other guys we have going into Fall camp.

Sullivan appears to be a hell of an on-the-field coach and technician. Especially great with our WRs, who often are uber talented, but very raw.

Sullivan has the skins on the wall to prove his worth. Just look at all the guys he coached in the NFL and what they did over the years. Larry Fitzgerald credits Jerry for his break out career.

Thanks for the info vol. I said It before, but if O and E truly want to run a West coast offense, burrow and these WRs are exactly what you need to do it. With the huge decrease in RB talent, if we don't throw the ball a LOT this year, we never will.

You had me until this. We don't know what we have at RB, but IMO it's too early to say it's a "huge" dropoff from last year.

Just my two cents.

Is drake learning these plays that are being taught? I’d love to see him on the field
