Anyone notice that things went to shite when the Dems took control of the House in 2006?

Then once the Republicans took it back in 2010 and held it until now things have gotten much better?

They insist it is just “bad luck” and that Republicans have built off what they created

Democrats are just the worst boat

The Democrats are responsible for shady risky loans and the housing collapse/financial crisis imo

What's the approval rating of Congress over those years?

I believe a big part of the problem was that W wanted to be liked a whole lot more than he wanted to be POTUS.

I honeslty believe this the problem with most of the GOPe. They are desperate to look like the good guys to people who will never see them as such and are terrified of being labeled an -isist, so they constantly roll over for and take advice from their ideological enemies. It’s the main reason they have completely failed at conserving anything wholesome and are so good at losing.

Nope,haven't noticed that at all.

What did congress do starting in 2010 to make things better?

Blaming the housing collapse on any individual group is woefully misinformed. It resulted from a multilayered failure from nearly every aspect of our economy, politicians, CEOs, day traders, and consumers included.

Every “Unified Republican Government” Ever Has Led to a Financial Crash
quote:
In fact, the ONLY 3 PERIODS of extended unified Republican governments going back to 1900 ALL DIRECTLY led to banking crises….Arguably the 3 worst in US History. To be clear, I am defining ‘extended’ unified governments as anytime they control the House, Senate and White house for at least 4 years. This does not include short 2 year stints since it’s hard to screw things up that quick (FYI there was only 1 period of that anyway, 1953-1955)
The list of Unified Republican Government crises include the Panic of 1907, The Great Depression, and the Financial Crisis of 2007-2008. Interestingly, the record of extended Republican control of Congress has also only led to crises. There have only been 4 periods of extended Republican control of Congress (3 of which overlap with the periods of full unified control just mentioned). However, the 4th period (I KID YOU NOT) ended in the 2000 DotCom Bust where the Republicans controlled the House and Senate from 1995-2001.
Tick Tock

See how little that adds to the discussion? If you care to actually refute my assertion with a position of your own, I’d be happy to listen to that position and then prove it wrong.
