Baby coming in October. How much can I expect to pay monthly for daycare?

Literally 1K+ a month for full time daycare
Posted on 6/1/18 at 7:38 am to Dtiger19
About $160-200 a week. It goes down as they get older.

For an infant? All day care? Ain't cheap. Probably north of $1200

Wherever you choose, the workers will be out back smoking rock while your kid is "sleeping".

For a day care worth a shite in BR expect about the same as it costs tonsend a kid to highschool, around $1,000+ a month

Hope you're already on a waitlist. Some of the good ones have wait lists of 9-12 months.

Start touring them and get on a waiting list if you want to get in a good one.

Nothing for the next 6 to 8 months because you should have been on a list the day you found out. But infant daycare is about ~900 a month. The prices are all about the same in Baton Rouge the quality is not.

Get on a wait list now.
Ours is finishing up week 2 now.
It's $200/week for infants, but it goes down as they get older.

Are you on a waiting list?
Not yet. My wife called a few places yesterday and told me the prices and that most had waiting lists. I was surprised by both.

My mom has owned a couple of daycares for 30+ years. Both have waiting lists well over a year out.

Currently paying $155 a week for a 3 month old.

quote:Nope, with rising daycare costs it stays about the same. It may decrease for a period as they move up a class then they tell you that rates are going up pretty much nullifying any savings
It goes down as they get older.

How old is still considered infant? My wife will be home with her for the first 3 months.
