Why is Jeff Bezos so greedy and selfish?

The guy could literally build a free clinic in every county in America and fund into perpetuity . Helping untold millions. He could build new schools, he could fund curing cancer. He could provide for for tens of millions of people each year.
All without even noticing that he spent any money.
Now, before some of you conservatives come in here screaming "it's his money that is true it is his money, and I'm not advocating that the USG force him to do any philanthropic work. I am, however, saying that our country was built on rich people using a not insignificant portion of their wealth to aid the less fortunate, and I AM suggesting that Jeff Bezos is a greedy piece of shite for not following in that tradition.
Dude could literally give every man , woman, and child in this country a million dollars each and round that off as an accounting error. Men who profit to that extent from our country and feel no obligation towards the less fortunate are scum.

This would be a good fit on Dick Cheney's tombstone.

In general all these rich progs sure could do a lot of good on their own rather than pushing for the government to force everybody else to pay more taxes for dumb shite.

You want to think about that statement for just a second?

For every Bill Gates, there will always be a Jeff Bezos.
Some rich people are just pricks. While it is his money and all, I think it is irresponsible for him not to use it to try and do some good.

He's a big Leftist; that should answer your question.
Posted on 5/25/18 at 1:34 pm to HeyHeyHogsAllTheWay
He is rich precisely because of the immense service he has done for every person in America.
He doesn't owe anyone jack.
He doesn't owe anyone jack.

Your common liberal has no frame of reference on money.
Posted on 5/25/18 at 1:36 pm to HeyHeyHogsAllTheWay
Actually I think he could give like $300 to every person and then he would be worth nothing.
Posted on 5/25/18 at 1:36 pm to Volatile
He could give 100 million people 600 bucks and then be flat broke

MEDICAL RESEARCH: One of Jeff and MacKenzie's first major gifts, made along with other family members, was a $10 million donation to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center to jumpstart a program to expand the use of certain types of immunotherapy for breast, ovarian, and prostate cancers. The family gave another $20 million for this work in 2014. And, in 2017, the Bezos family gave $35 million more to the Hutchinson Center. In 2011, Jeff and MacKenzie gave a donation of $15 million to Princeton University, their alma mater, to help create the Bezos Center for Neural Circuit Dynamics, which focuses on a relatively new field of research known as "connectomics," and includes measuring neural connectivity and mining that data to better understand the brain, which may prove crucial in understanding and treating a variety of neurological diseases.
EDUCATION: The Bezos Family Foundation has given millions in grants, both large and small, for education. It also funds the Bezos Scholars Program at the Aspen Institute every year. Jeff and MacKenzie both sit on the board of the foundation, which is funded with gifts of Amazon stock from his parents. As far as his personal education giving, Jeff Bezos has supported Worldreader, a nonprofit started by one of his former employees that brings reading to parts of the world which previously had no access through the use of e-readers. Bezos donated about $300,000 to help start the program, and donated another $500,000 in subsequent years.
ARTS & CULTURE: In 2011, Bezos gave $10 million to the Museum of History & Industry to establish a Center for Innovation at its new location.
IMMIGRANTS: Bezos and MacKenzie recently donated $33 million to a scholarship fund for young “dreamers,” immigrants brought to the United States as children. The funds will go to TheDream.US, a scholarship program that has awarded more than 1,700 immigrants more than $19 million in financial assistance since it launched. The money will help fund 1,000 college scholarships. The forces are personal here as Bezos' adoptive father Mike left Cuba as part of Operation Pedro Pan and arrived in the United States.
HeyHeyHog, would you do me a favor and pull up Trump's charitable giving. He's a billio...'cough cough'..oh wait...he says he is a billionaire.

Pretty sure he donated like $30 million to some charity earlier this year.
