How about the new one this year where is allowed to take possessions off in defense so that he can rest. While on the court. Unreal

I already explained that he's probably tired all the time, but his body language is obviously a little different when they're struggling.

I mean didn’t Lebron lead the league in minutes this year? Age 33, 15th year, played all 82 and led league in minutes. Probably leading playoffs in minutes too.

The guy has some rightful criticisms but him being gassed shouldn’t be one. Him taking plays off is a conundrum. The Cavs can’t win games if he’s on the bench more than 5 mins a game and that’s a stretch. Rest on the court or on the bench. It’s a pickle.

Definitely seems like the most reasonable explanation I've heard

What's your explanation?

That's known as "pulling a Harden."

Well I don't have one or I wouldn't have started the thread.

Slackster's sounds the most reasonable

You criticize LeBron and his apologists will spin it for his benefit every time so its pointless. I've never seen a top tier professional athlete as coddled as LeBron.

If the Cavs lose then Lebron can't do it all himself and has no supporting cast. If the Cavs win then Lebron is the greatest of all time.

These aren't mutually exclusive. If/when LeBron and the Cavs win the series, it will be because the others showed. If they lose, it's likely because they didn't show up.

it’s generally acceptable for Lebron to do it. But anyone else would get raked over the coals.

Harden will be a bench warmer at 45,000 minutes.

My opinion is it’s mental gymnastics, especially this season. The Celtics didn’t give Lebron easy paths to the basket last night and all the passes he made mostly ended up in missed shots and a few turnovers. That probably creeps in.

Also a team full of early and mid 20 year olds just look like they recover faster than early to late 30s guys. Celtics just looked faster last night.

How many of those players have over 50,000 NBA minutes under their belt while carrying an enormous load for their team over the last 15 years?

Nope. Since harden been in CC he has missed less games then bron. And lead the league in minutes what three times in the last four years or five years. But harden don’t get to rest in D every now and again. Only Lebron can.

Boom - Lebron has played basketball October-June since 2010. Don’t compare Hardens workload to Lebron.

Harden probably won't be a starter at 45,000 minutes.

Nvm, Lebron is close to 55,000 minutes. Harden probably won't be playing then.

You're trying too hard.

I wish he was more stoic. I wish he didn't pout during live plays and take forever getting back on defense. I wish he had the energy to give a more consistent effort on the defensive end, but he doesn't. That ship sailed with Kyrie.

The longer these playoffs go, the more I'm convinced the rumors he wants to play off the ball are true.

From your point of view I'm sure you would say that.

It’s just a crazy standard. Lebron is literally expected to go 40/10/10 every night while guarding other teams best player, playing all 48, and winning every series 4-0. Otherwise there are people out there waiting to destroy him.

I agree but by and large the media and Lebron apologists will tell you he did it virtually by himself if they win and had no supporting cast if they lose.
