Yes, of course, and it was still an act of congress to get her out by 11. Mom didn't like her too much.

When I finally dumped her, she made a half-assed suicide attempt and ended up in Parkland. I mean we were 17 and 16 ffs.

And that was the end of that.

This is a stupid expression. You can affect someone's emotions deeply but you can't actually break their heart. Unless you give them a heart attack I guess.

No. I just can't stand hurting a girl like that. I'd stay in a relationship way longer than I should have, until the girl finally broke up with me. Pretty dumb.

I did by complete accident, and that was the last day on the job as a cardiologist.

I guess this is more of a fatal attraction deal than a heartbreak.

Yeah consider yourself lucky not to have came home and found a rabbit boiling on your stove.

Yes. Dumped a nice girl I was seeing for another girl. I sat and watched her cry telling her it was for the best. I guess she got the last laugh when I later got dumped. Karma is a bitch.

I can relate, but honestly I ruined a lot more than that. 12 years sober here.

Ditto.

The bright side is that I'm a totally different person than I was before.

Same here. I consider that a gift to us, something to be extremely grateful for. Even moreso than years away from it.

This is me. I’ll then convince myself everything is great just to not have to hurt someone. It’s a flaw.

I say breaking someone’s heart is worse. I’ve had my heart broken a couple times. It sucks, but I have enough hobbies and other things in my life to dump myself in.

I recently broke off a two year relationship. I just knew it wasn’t right and after that period of time I wanted her to have the freedom to move on. It’s still eating me up because I know she doesn’t have family close and not a big support system. I hope and pray everyday that she’s moving on but I also am constantly stressed that I’m causing someone major emotional pain.

Yes, unfortunately I have.

There was this one. Dated her for roughly a year and a half, with the last of the 5 splits coming a few weeks ago. Sigh.

It was one of those relationships that started at the wrong time but were the right people. Unintentionally, I made her cry a couple of times. This woman truly loved me - in fact, she risked her life to save mine...and that's what the detective said. Truly horrific story.

But back to it. I let her down in more than one way. She loved me more than life itself and I didn't step up when she needed me most. Since January, we have gotten back together and split 5 times, with the last being permanent, I'm afraid.

She said she's scared of us...and trusting us again. Honestly, I love this one more than life itself but I'm too late. The unfortunate thing is that I didn't realize things until way too late.

Put a crazy bitch in therapy after I broke up with her, but it was necessary.
A couple years later I gave it a second chance. Dumped her again. I felt really bad the second time.
But she really was crazy.
