Actually, there was a lot more to worry about technically.

People just weren't over connected so you were ignorant to them. Perfect example of ignorance is bliss.

However, people today think there's a child murderer on every corner and gluten kills you. Its the fricking worst sensationalist time to ever live.

There was but there wasn't. Bad things have been happening since the dawn of man. Yes, I agree, we didn't worry about all the crap that is worried about now. We just lived our lives the best we could. It is crazy stupid now.

I was born in 75. Evidently news travelled slow down the bayou because I used to sell candy in school and this rumor killed my pop rock sales. This was circa 83.

How about Garbage Pail kids equating to Satanist.

Not sure, but everyone I knew was glued to the radio to try and here that chick scream in the background. Its funny to think about how fast stuff like that spread back then when we had no social media to get the story out...

Nothing new, even to that generation. Remember the hanging person that you can supposedly see while watching the Wizard of Oz? 1930's, story still got out way back then.

the two actors got into a tiff over lunch one day -- something about chicken grease, Sly's thigh, and a hot dog -- whereupon Stallone elbowed him in the side of the head.

I guess there was no love, peace and chicken grease between them.

I think you would be surprised how much kangaroo beef has been sold in the US.

Early 1980s saw a ton of horse and roo meat mislabeled as beef and then imported.

That's not an urban legend

Surely someone here knows of a cousin's friend who got HIV at Mardi gras when that weird guy stuck a needle in their back with a post it note.

And everyone knows that girl whose cousin was babysitting and found the midget schizophrenic clown in the attic who had been living there.
