Nobody can be blamed for expecting great things from brennan he had an outstanding HS career. He just need some weed brownies and a lot more antler spray before his body will be able to take the toll of an entire SEC season. Take your troll post and shove it in your arse

If only one is made to think objectively, it will be worth it. You can only save one at a time.

At last we had a quarterback! He was going to take us to the Promised Land. Ah, good times.....

I was and still am optimistic that Brennan and Narcisse can be good QBs. I am; however, disappointed neither have really made that big jump based on what we have seen in the spring. It's still possible one or both will step up in the fall. Brennan is a true soph that hasn't gotten to fall camp yet and Narcisse is a RS FR that is far removed from meaningful football due to knee injuries. There is still time for them to get better.

I thought he was a good pickup but I never believed the hype. He received his 4th star during his senior year. He didn't have any offers from major programs and his HS level of competition was mediocre.

I still like brennan. he needs some weight. I think narcisse needs more mechanical polishing and fine tuning. I think McMillan is a pecan. maybe Burrow makes everyone better for the future. his enrollment will only help.

bottom line: "I love winning. I mean, I fricking love winning. you know what im sayin? its like better than losing"- Nuke Laloosh

Ok? Whats your point?
Seriously? You can't see the similarity between this board's reaction to Brennan committing to LSU and Burrow committing?

Maybe we should tap the brakes a bit on Burrow before we anoint him as LSU's second Heisman winner.

It would not totally shock me if Brennan beats Burrow out for the starting job in fall camp mainly because Burrow has such a steep learning curve facing him to adjust to the LSU playbook and receivers.

There I said it. And I'm glad I did....

I take his point as QB has become kind of a unicorn and any decent prospect is viewed as savior and maybe we should temper the reaction towards Burrow

Burrow didn't come here to sit and O didn't recruit Burrow just to start Brennan. Unless Burrow gets hurt the QB battle is over.

Eh, it's a new playbook in a brand new offense that's still evolving around the players. I honestly don't think Burrow is gonna have problems catching up to the other QBs in that regard.

Hopefully they’ll do the smart thing and redshirt him this year. Otherwise he won’t start until he’s a SR on his last year of eligibility.

I'm not gonna lie.. I was in that group. I legit though that dude was going to save LSU's football program and bring us back to prominence.

Admittedly, Im still surprised he has not been able to take over. After watching his elite 11, I was convinced.

Right now, Brennan is not ready. In my opinion, the kid needs to put on at least 15 more pounds to survive a season.
but why hasn't Brennan excelled in practice or the spring game, where there's no contact?

This "weight" thing is just an excuse.

Could Brennan use 20 more pounds to survive big hits? Sure. But weight alone won't transform him into a good QB.

Actually if you watch what we ran in the spring game and OSU ran the sets are very similar. The actual plays may be different, but I don't think Burrow is going to have to absorb a very different system.

He’s nowhere near 193. At the spring game he looked about 180
