The kid is a qb and wants to play the position he knows. Gimme a break with the “learn another position and be loyal stuff”. His head was screwed on straight and he bettered himself here. Now he has the opportunity to get on the field somewhere and enjoy playing!

never complained or caused an issue. always seemed to be a good teammate and do what the coaches asked. i am relieved he won't be our starter, but he always seemed like a model student athlete.

All due respect, JM would never have been in position to start at any other P5 school.
This was a kid that when he signed everyone knew would never start unless things went to absolute shite. Well, things did, and the coach was fired.
We supposedly brought in a new coach to fix what was broken, and the QB position was obviously one of those things.
He looked like the least ugly option from an awful list of options because LSU QBs are LSU QBs.
Thanks to a lot of luck, the new coach did what he needed to and we now have an OSU QB and that changes things substantially.

LSU isn’t in the business of keeping kids happy. We have to win. And if you don’t play it’s because other kids are better or you have a picture of the coach with a kid like Jefferson did. We didn’t know McMillan was on the roster until last year so let’s not pretend he was a legit threat to start and bring us to the promised land.
