Vermicelli bowl. Pick the pork if it's grilled

Where are you going? That kinda determines what I'll order.
If I'm at Tan Dinh, I'm getting Lemongrass wings.
If I'm at Lily's I'm getting either Spicy Shrimp Pho, or Grilled Pork Vermicelli.

Most likely I’ll be going to Pho because it’s the closest. Any other recommendations are welcome though.

Bahn xeo....a savory crepe, studded w/bean sprouts, shrimp, pork, green onions, etc.
Since it’s already so hot outside, try goi ga, the shredded cabbage & carrot salad with shredded chicken. It’s usually garnished w/fresh herbs like holy basil, maybe mint, chopped peanuts, crispy shallots, with a light, tangy dressing laced w/chili peppers.

I really like grilled pork spring rolls

You need to decide if you want americanized vietnamese food or you want the real thing.

Ate at Pho Bang on the westbank recently. Got some kind of noodle dish. It was good, but the Vietnamese Egg Rolls they served with it were so good, my buddy and I ordered another order of them after the fact.

My go to:
- Vietnamese iced coffee made with cafe du monde
- order of spring rolls - don't much care what's in them
- bun vermicelli with pork and chopped eggroll doused in fish oil and the red hot pepper container with all the pepper seeds in it
- if I skip the bun I go for the rare beef pho with plenty of mint leaves and sprouts
If I'm getting it to go I'll ask for a double meat pork bahn mi with extra jalapenos.
Damn now I'm hungry

Combo beef pho is my go to. But don't be afraid to try out some grilled meat dishes either. Shrimp vermicelli bowl is also good. Non-fried spring rolls.

I like vermicelli. I swear I’m the only person who doesn’t care for pho.

My favorite is the char grilled pork with egg rolls and a fried egg
For rice dishes I like the same but with the bone in pork chop

I like fried rice enough that if a place has it I'll skip over the Pho or Vermicelli items.

It isn't often I feel like eating a bowl of soup the size of my head, either. Love all other Vietnamese dishes that I have tried.

I haven't made it at all. Just don't care for soups as a whole, other than maybe as a starter to the real food
edit - Oops, misunderstood you. I've had it at Dang's and Saigon Noodles. Tried it at Little Saigon. No idea if they are considered good, but honestly it has more to do with my aversion to brothy soups and the herbs/anise they use.
