I'm looking for a good, simple New Orleans BBQ shrimp recipe. Any personal tips and advice would be appreciated as well. I don't cook much.

Use the recipe on Mr B's (the restaurant) website. So easy, and delicious.

Mr B's is the best, but there's really only one easy way to do it.
Cook head and tail on shrimp in half a cup of washyoursister sauce, some lemon juice, minced garlic, black pepper, and your favorite seasoning blend, Tony's or what have you, until shrimp turn pink. Dice up a few sticks of butter, cut the heat down to medium, and add the butter a chunk at a time. Add the next after it's all melted. You want to emulsify the sauce.
Serve with french bread so the sauce doesn't go to waste.
Just don't overcook the shrimp and make sure to be patient adding the butter and it's perfect.

Yeah thats the way, uh huh uh huh, I like it..
I like garlic powder in mine and I would use Old Bay. Ive never worried about how I added the butter.

And quite good. I use more shrimp than the package calls for because it is pretty damn salty.

Melt 2 sticks unsalted butter or margarine with 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce.
In a shallow baking dish, combine butter, Barbecued Shrimp Seasoning and 2-3 lbs. unpeeled, deheaded shrimp.
Place in a 350* oven for 20 min. or until shrimp are just pink

River Road is an excellent cheat.

It's butter, worchestershire, and seasoning. How much easier do you need it to be?

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it.
How long do you think this takes in total? I'm not an experienced cook, so continuing to cook the shrimp after they turn pink and patiently adding the butter makes me feel like I might indeed overcook the shrimp.

You don't need to do that. Just use a lot of butter.

15 minutes maybe. Just do the shrimp a minute on each side.

I second this one for easy and pretty tasty. Don't cook them as long as the directions say though. Will be way overcooked. Flip them too.

That's the recipe I've always used. A shite ton of butter, Worcestershire, cracked pepper, some seasoning of your choice, and French bread to sop it up with.
We put it all in a dish and bake it, eat with bread. Don't see a reason to cook anything first, put it together and bake it.
