Oh you mean the shoot out between a crook and the US Marshals in the middle of the most important commercial corridor in Alexandria? Hell that's just a normal Monday baw.

The best part of the state, bar none, runs from East Carroll parish to Avoyelles parish down the river. At times gets a couple parishes wide toward the West. Better known as the delta.

So basically regions with some of the highest poverty and inbred rates in the country?

Look, I like freshwater fishing. It’s a fun hobby. But let’s not pretend it holds a candle to offshore.

These threads always bring out the insecure fricks who think if it ain't french, it ain't Louisiana.

It's funny to see people call NLA cities ghettos while ignoring BR and NOLA are mostly ghetto.

The state sucks as a whole mostly so this is like a downsy kid and a palsy kid in a slap fight.

Born and raised in Monroe. I have also lived in Shreveport for 1 year and Ruston for 5 years.

Moved to Denham and have worked in BR for the last 5 years.

I will tell you this about suburban Monroe and Ruston -- you can leave your vehicle unlocked, or your home unlocked and be fine.

You can get anywhere you want to in 15 minutes. Tops. There's no crazy sitting in traffic all day long and wrecks everywhere.

If it takes you 30 minutes to get to work, it's because you live 30 miles from your job.

It actually takes a real fisherman to catch freshwater fish

It just takes a fricking GPS location to heave a big piece of dead fish on hook and wait for the fish to bite.............

S. LA has real fishing.

There is this new invention called a car. I can be fishing salt just like you but it might just take a little longer to get there. Crazy thing is that since we live in the same state (about to blow your mind), I have access to the same license to fish salt as you.

I love the South LA guys that talk shite about THEIR access to the salt over us poor North LA guys stuck fishing fresh when they give zero fricks driving up here to shoot OUR deer.

I've always associated South LA (except for some areas) with filth and scum.
North LA (again with some exceptions) as being cleaner and less filth.

Having said that, all of Louisiana is less than desirable. It's just a matter of to what extent.

Cajun/French culture is massively overrated. The food is alright. The rest is bad accents and out of tune musical instruments.

Studies show coonasses are more detrimental to white-tailed deer herd management than CWD and the blue tongue combined. Need to blast the bridges on the north-bound highways come Oct 1.

Nah. Both are awesome and very similar.

And both are light-years ahead of what Louisiana can offer.
