They are particularly bad here at the paper mill in Savannah the past couple of days. The walk from the parking lot to the work area is getting brutal.

This is going to sound crazy but brush a little clear fingernail polish on the welt and it will stop itching.

Best thing is to go inside at the first sign of them (and look out for them in the future). Not sure there's anything to be done about it now that they already got you.

They have been demolishing me at the house.

My wife and 2 daughters don't get touched. I get bit so much my damn legs are swollen.

They thermocell will keep them at bay a bit, and citronella candle helps as well.

I'm going to try skin so soft, but I hate have to put something on just to sit outside for a few minutes. I go water the garden and it looks like I've been in the jungle for a day. shite sucks.

Spectracide/Triazicide spray that you attach to your garden hose.

I used to get no-see-ums in Slidell. Sprayed my yard in the spring every year with Triazicide and didn't get a single bite after that. But I had to do it every year.

Edit: They make different flavors of this as a weed killer and a bug killer. No-see-ums are bugs.

DEET

Does nothing to those little bastards.
Real vanilla extract 50/50 with water. spray that shite on.
Or go to victorias secret and purchase Amber Romance. Apply liberally

VS Amber Romance or Avon Skin So Soft

I've got a little bottle of 100% deet Uncle Ben's I carry with me for squirrel or turkey hunting, that gnats eat right through that shite. If there's a little breeze blowing, it's not as bad, but God help you if it's dead calm. Don't even know if fishing in a bee keeper suit would help

This either.

Like I said in my first post in this thread...

And these were precisely the products I was referring to...

Avon skin so soft. No shite.

A coat of the spray on skin so soft and off woods and I’m good for hours. Mosquitos, gnats, and horseflies

Agreed no luck with any of that shite. My old neighbor where I lived was a Miller Lite guy as was never bitten bit. Yellow flies chewed him up and didn't bother me. I surmise noseeums hate ML.

Fill a jar 1/3 or less of the way with apple cedar vinegar, make a paper funnel, place it into the jar so that the edges of the funnel contact the jar to "seal" it. They will enter through the funnel and can't come out this really works. They will pile up in the jar in no time. The smell will draw them in. Note leave a gap between the small end of the funnel and the solution.

Seriously, does anyone else get big welps from these things? I have three big welps, one on my right arm, two on my left. They are slightly bigger than a mosquito bite and they stay around longer.. I don't ever recall getting these before.

At scout camp we used sulfur powder on our clothes. Seemed to work pretty well.
