Surely Dunn didn’t. His arm slot and leg kick are different

It’s terrible. I haven’t watched much this season and Gilbert seems to be drastically different.

It’s sad to watch. Kid has no confidence at all right now.

Just coming over to post Gilbert's arm motion is different. Looks like he is protecting his shoulder

It really is sad. If he had thrown a strike they would’ve ripped it

I’ve got two thoughts here:

1- Caleb is inside his own head right now, he has no confidence in himself. It will probably take him getting out of the grind of the season to get right.

2- He missed some time a few weeks ago, which makes me wonder about his health and if he’s dealing with some sort of nagging injury. Would explain the change in mechanics.

He looks like he has the fricking yips.

He’s pulling it and he looks like he dropped his arm slot a lot.

His delivery looks completely different...everything about it.

He’s trying to steer the ball, instead of just throwing it . It’s all in his head .

He has always been a bit stiff but now he looks really stiff and mechanical. Nothing fluid about his delivery. Good call by a poster - he might be protecting a little injury.

Need to let him start the midweek game to see if he can get right. We will need him if we want to win the sec tournament

I don’t know why. His arm is dead right now. Maybe an injury is the most likely explanation as it was mentioned above.

Which raises the question if we can so easily see that his motion is different why are they letting him pitch? surely they can see it also, they do this shite for a living.

Dude this is the Rant! Dudes on here could coach the baseball team to CWS titles year after year and in their spare time coach the football team to a NCAA football championship game year after year, if Saban retires they could even win it!

This is my thought exactly--that he is trying to aim his pitches. I notice that he is coming much more over the top than I remember him when he was an effective pitcher. I really feel for the guy--it is clear that he is dejected and not throwing with confidence.

Whether it's the yips or an injury, it doesn't really matter.

He's worthless at the moment.

It seems ages ago that Gilbert was the Friday night starter when we opened this season against Notre Dame.
