He mostly did buildings and landscapes. If you compare his stuff to other students in Vienna, it looks a hell of a lot better than modernist garbage.

Unfortunately a republic or democracy will not survive multiculturalism. There are obvious reasons to not want to be around different races, no different than a rival of your favorite sports team, but that is not to say that you hate them. Differences breed uncertainty and untrust. Again, that isn't to say one subset is out to get the other, just that they have different visions of what life should be and if they get their way then you don't get to live life how you believe it should be lived. It feels undeniably unfair and obviously sows resentment. Races will be used for voting block purposes in democracy, it is unfortunate, but to deny reality is folly. There of course was originally limited voting to prevent such things.
There will have to be a dictator of some sort to keep the groups working together for some greater good or it will balkanize. We are headed for Brazil at best.
