So the mass exodus was a couple of reserve offensive linemen?
in coaching circles this is called DEPTH.
You cant gripe about depth on the oline and then be ok with backups leaving

LSU has lost multiple five star players from previous classes.
They lost nine 4-star players from one recent class. Is that class still higher rated than this past class?
What about the class that had three 5-stars and lost two of them? Is it still stronger than this past class?
I see another point went sailing over your head. I'll walk you through it.
Poster A says: "This is the worst class in 15 years."
Ree says: "You can't know that until you see how the class turns out."
*Ree says this after making the claim that this is not the worst class in 15 years, WITHOUT WAITING TO SEE HOW IT TURNS OUT BEFORE MAKING THE CLAIM.
For someone who constantly, and I mean constantly, calls other people stupid you sure do have a hard time following simple posts.

well the experts disagree
The same experts that had Greedy as the 16th best player in LSU's 2016 class and the 20th best CB that year?
The same experts that had DJ Chark as the 345th best recruit in his class?
The same experts that had Foster Moreau as the 77th best player in Louisiana for his class?
Yeah, those experts are never wrong !!!

Traore looked terrible he has a long long way to go.
Well, what about Damien Lewis? Did he look terrible or will he possibly start?
Oh, that's right this is only a bashing thread. We will only talk about the one JUCO OL that didn't look good in the spring game and not the one who did. Let's just forget I brought him up.

Texas finished number three and beefed up their lines. Herman’s making your boy look bad
He is? Texas won their bowl game?
Oh, you're talking about his making out with his players aren't you? yeah, that makes a lot of coaches who don't REALLY LOVE their players look bad.

ny this thread is about your ilk blaming the current HC for the 1st round of the NFL draft when he has been in charge for one season.
come on ree
how can you tout his interim tenures and use them as proof that he has changed as a head coach and then say he has only been in charge for 1 year.

Not when an interim is promoted. The whole point of that is for continuity so you won't have massive turnover.
Massive turnover? A couple/few O-linemen left. A massive turnover probably would have included at least one player from another position.

Like who,? Be specific. Most had lost starting jobs while Miles was the coach. They had already made up their minds to transfer.
I don't see how that falls on O. Sure you had a few that he could have coached up. Willie Allen and George brown come to mind.

Wait, you think no non-offensive line players have transferred since Orgeron took over?

Oh yeah a lot of discipline
Maybe discipline fore all of them
Missed games would have been smart.
Nothing about our team screams discipline.

The heck it isn't.

LSU’s Class of 2018 is ranked 15th in the country — the lowest the Tigers have fallen since they ranked 21st in 2002. LSU had been ranked in the top 10 every year since 2013.
Strange how every expert out there says this but because O defends the class, you defend him.
Here's the article if you choose to read it. See for yourself, not that it'll change your mind

He said himself he knew the expectations and there wasn't going to be a rebuild so I'm not sure why you're acting like everyone should just "be patient."
I gave the guy chances, probably to a fault, now I'm done. I don't wish any ill on him but he's not what a program like LSU needs.

So the recruiting coordinator isn't responsible for recruiting?
I've always thought he would be. Not solely responsible, but he should share in the praise of landing recruits or some of the blame if a recruit doesn't pan out.
But it also depends on who your asking and what day of the week it is. Tiger Ree for example, and a few others, have claimed that o isn't responsible for the lack of talent (when that excuse was being used due to a poor start to the 2017 season) then turned around a week or two later and claimed that o was Miles recruiting coordinator in 2016 before he was fired, and o was just as responsible, if not more, for the '17 recruiting class.
Then when somebody says something about poor play or depth, or whatever, they claim that that's all on Miles because he didn't recruit well enough.
Ree has done this a few times alone the past month or so. Motherfricker flips flops like there's no tomorrow.
So there's you answer PotatoChip. Do with it what you will.

Crediting or blaming a 2nd year HC for a draft class is stupid, which is why the rant will be doing this all week.

Can’t blame coach O for anything, right, Derek?

O had 2 pre-season 1st round draft picks that he inherited from a different regime. Neither player got taken in the 1st. I don’t care about the draft but from a player development aspect neither player got the development/stats or structure ( Key ) they needed to maximize their potential. So whomever was in charge of that player being at there best this past season should take some blame. Period.
Posted on 4/27/18 at 8:04 am to TigerBaitTx
Then O gets credit for Fournette, Adams, and White going in the first round last year? He was interim and RC so it's on him right? Is O to blame that LSU had no first rounders taken in 2015 or 2016? Is it really O's fault Key couldn't stay off the ganja and munchied his way out of playing shape? I'm no O fan but the O Derangement Syndrome is hitting new lows. The argument being made is that O has been part of the staff the three years these juniors were here so he shoulders the responsibility for their development and draft status. By that reasoning so has Aranda, Key's coordinator, and a lot of y'all want him to replace O. Is O responsible for Russian collusion, too?
The O haters claim O was handed a Ferrari. This draft class disproves that statement. This class just shows why we went 9-4 last year. Look, there are valid criticisms of Coach O. The unacceptable loss to Troy is one of them. But it's just reaching to blame O for getting shut out in round 1.
