10-2 with a win against Bama would change my opinion on Orgeron. 9-3 with a bowl win and I wouldn’t argue against giving him another season. Anything less than that and he should be fired. Agreed?

On another note, Smoke and Mainieri had basically the same amount of wins in their first 5 years at LSU.

O would have done horrific under those circumstances

The Ole Miss team he took over was a 10 win program 2 years prior

He got a much superior team at the time. He even said this wasn't a rebuild.

Saban was rebuilding LSU.. into an established program..

Everybody here wants to see the LSU HC be successful, which is why most didn’t want Ed Orgeron to be our HC. He has proven that he is incapable of running a successful program.

so are you saying that you would like to see Orgeron be successful here at LSU or not? For this coming season, 2018, are you going to be pulling for LSU (and thus Orgeron) to have a good season. Or since you say that it is not possible what would be the point of even watching them play?

comparing apples and quarks here... I get the sentiment, but the only way you can draw a line between the situations, and the two persons, is... well, you can't.

Of course we are i don’t know why some of you can’t understand this. We are LSU fans we just don’t think O is a good coach. I’m sorry you think people have to like the coach or believe he’s something different than the evidence suggests to be fans. I can’t turn off my brain and forget things I’ve learned over the years like how coaches build championship programs and just go along with whatever the LSU coach is doing

Here at LSU it appears that Orgeron was a better coach in his very first (9-4) season here at LSU than Saban was in his 3rd (8-5) season at LSU.
OK, by your own metric, how does he compare to Miles?

Is Orgeron really that much better of a coach (with the exception of recruiting of course, where Saban has no peers) than Saban?

I accidently stumbled across that fact recently (minutes ago actually)
Probably 90% of the fan base already knew this, but have the IQ to realize it's fool's gold.

its amazing watching you tout a proven failure that did nothing but bash lsu every chance he got over his 30 year career away from lsu while you bashed a very accomplished lsu hc that generally loves lsu.

and regardless, he lost a home game to Troy and got curb stomped by Miss St.

Also, the SEC was seriously as down as ever last year.. many of those teams have upgraded at coaching this off-season.

I always will pull for LSU. I don't care who the coach is.

(and thus Orgeron)

Just because O is the coach doesn't mean I have to pull for him. I don't know why this is so hard for some people to grasp.

I was pulling for him and gave him chance after chance after chance and I'm finally done. Prove me wrong and then I'll give him credit for getting through a very difficult upcoming schedule.

I have my doubts with seeing how we were prepared for the Moo State game, the Troy game, heck even the Syracuse game and the bowl game.

But if he does, I'll be here admitting I was wrong.

Apples-to-oranges comparison, but, yeah, this proves Orgeron is a better coach than Saban.

Hey, Derek, please hire some better trolls.

While we are comparing, what are your thoughts on Les Miles?

His first 3 seasons at LSU he was 11-2, 11-2, and 12-2.

By your logic Les Miles is better than Saban and O and LSU shite canned him

How stupid, they fired the greatest coach in history to hire O.

So Les is better than both by your logic.

Might as well call him back.

You are trying to put down a former coach to prop up the current coach. Don’t talk about other people not wanting to see Orgeron be successful

When Orgeron is inevitably be replaced (didn’t say fired, he could be the coach for the next decade) will you root against his successor??
