I recall around 2009 Albert Pujols being labeled the best player of all time. Look how that worked out.

He fell off hard. Could be greatest 1B if he didn't shite the bed since joining the Angels.

650 hrs,2000 RBI, .300 avg. Thats what his career will look like at the end of this season. Only Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron have those numbers.

Pujols is a clear HOFer and one of the better hitters in baseball history. Trout is pretty much as good of a hitter as Pujols in his prime plus has way more defensive value than Pujols.

Also Pujols would have been in GOAT conversation if he didn't start declining at 30
