Anyone listen to Don Debuc this morning? (River flood info)

Had someone tell me this morning they heard on his show that there is a prediction the river will be 64’ in June at the Natchez gauge. They paused for a minute then said, “that’s right. 64 feet” on the radio.
Just wondering if anyone else heard that or has heard rumblings that we are in for a huge flood. I know they have gotten a ton of snow lately in the Midwest.

That would be a little over 2' higher than the record set in 2011.

Exactly. My dad said he talked to an old black man in Ft Adams the other day that told him 61’. Said he figured the old man was full of shite. Maybe not

All the gauges are set to drop big in early May. So it would have to get way back up

More than 2 weeks out on any forecast usually is gonna show it dropping.

I don't see this happening based on snowfall.

I'm just going to assume its the good 'ol rumor mill churning. Nothing about that is mentioned on the LMRFC site.
Someone somewhere is always claiming the river is going to flood like we've never seen before.

Carry your triggered arse to some other thread. You can try and project your “you’re racist!” bullshite on someone else.
Had I said he had no teeth, 9 toes, red hair, wore overalls, or any other thing you wouldn’t give a frick.

How do you do any outdoor activities without tripping over your tampon string?

64 on the Natchez guage would submerge most of the State of LA south of I20 as well as good sized chunks of MS and Arky.
Would be a huge deal

I was training dogs in the Bonnet Carre yesterday and the corps stopped by to visit. They said they expected the water to come up late May/June to record levels not seen before. They expect the spillway to be open most of the summer.
Sounds like what Don was saying has legs. Sure hope it’s wrong that would be crazy for the Fishing down south not to mention the river is already silting in pretty bad with the multiple high rivers last few years.

I guess you're implying that 64 would top the levee system? I thought they could handle more than that. I don't remember any panic in '11 when it was nearly that high.
